I bought 3 babygrows and from time to time, i take them out the cupboard and lay them on the board and stroke them/ just look at them...Am i weird?

I have this massive urge to buy things for bubba too...

Of course not! I want to buy stuff like this! If I did, I'd definitely be the same.

I'm desperately trying to get out of debt before the baby arrives and trying so hard not to spend. We've done so well and hardly have any left, but it's so hard!!

Nope, when I show them to people I can't help putting them on my shoulder & 'burping the baby'.

Actually, now I have seen that written down I'm not so sure. Maybe we are both a bit odd!!

Aww, that's so cute. I'm gonna have to buy something to join in. My OH is being pretty good, but he doesn't even want to look at the little clothes yet.

We have agreed we have to have a little suit thing with cow print and cow ears. I need one, I don't know why!!

:rotfl: Aww babe I'm so sorry for laughing! I can just picture you calmly waving hubby off in the morning, on the edge of the sofa waiting for the engine to start, then legging it upstairs, getting them out, laying them on the bed and sniffing, stroking etc!! I wish visions could be played out on here!!

No, you're not wierd... xxx

Not odd at all.
When I was expecting DS1, and I had the car seat and Buggy, I used to put a teddy in it and push it around!   (only inside of course!)

I used to constantly pick up and fold and re-arange all the tiny clothes too, almost every day!
Now they're jsut in a big pile. THe novelty has worn off on #3.

I think you should just consider it practice for when the baby comes! And if anybody says different, glare at them and tell 'em you're nesting and would they like to come help clean your oven?

Not strange at all. My brother is getting married a couple of months after LO is born and we've bought her a party dress already, I keep taking it out and spinning it round, it's just so pretty! And the other day my OH beat me home from work and I walked in the living room to see him practising picking up a teddy like you would a baby...it was so sweet. Turned out he was stressing cos he's not been around babies much and he managed to drop our guinea pig the other day so now he's terrified of dropping bubs!

I have a pink baby blanket in my baby drawer and a little bunny teddy and I always stroke them . Yes we're all mad :D

Yes, you are just weird Sharne

Hehe, no, I do exactly the same, it's amazing to imagine our LO's will be wearing these tiny clothes in a few months' time!

i'm not mad!!!!! yippeeee!!!

pmsl.

just dont hold them up to your tummy and wonder how something that BIG is going to fit in there...its scary!

lol Sparky, I was just going to say thats what I did with some babygrows my brother in law gave us and it freaked me out so now I don't go anywhere near them!!

I love getting all my baby stuff out!! She has quite a bit now and her travel system is due to be deleivered tomorrow or thursday, i cant wait, im going to have the whole thing out playing with it! I always wanna get her clothes out too and i hate the fact all her stuff is just piled in bags on the floor atm.
As soon as i get back in my room (stupid parents dont understand the nesting instinct) im going to spend ages organising all her stuff and making it pretty, i cant wait to get her cot too but im not allowed to have it yet as "theres no room" grr i desperately need to move out

So far I have some how resisted the urge to buy baby stuff myself, although I do find myself stroking baby clothes in shops when looking at it but largely thats cause I have a thing about my clothes having to be soft so anything for baby will have to be extra soft! I do however have a few bits and bobs that excited people have given me already and I like to get them out and look at them but a changing bag, some socks and bibs arn't really strokeable! :rotfl:

I have bought some little tiny baby clothes and try them on my bump for size... sometimes even upside down if she is head down that day :)

So no, you're not weird... well either that or we all are

:D Awwww its all so cute! I have been given a load of baby clothes from my brothers girlfriend and I loved just looking at it and folding them all. :D

:rotfl: Went into mothercare the other day and I was looking at bras so OH went off to have a look around and I caught him poking one of them headless model things pregnant tummy! I was peeing myself laughing at him! Bless! He said he was curious as to how it felt heheeeee. :rotfl:

Your not weired
i get out the little booties i bought a while back hold them to my bump and dance around the room saying silly stuff like "oooohhhhh your going to look sooooooooooo cute heeheheheh" with the stupiditist grin on my face
yep your quite normal in a pregnanat way
 :rotfl:
sarah

OOOhhh, it's the little booties I love. It's amazing how tiny their little feet and hands are - so perfect though! And I love the knitted cardies.

My LO will inherit the babygros from my older children - the newborn and 0-3 mth stuff is all neutral as we've never found out the sex beforehand. I get all gooey when I see it - haven't got it down from the loft yet though; will probably buy a few new things too.
