I had another hospital appt sent to me yesterday. I've already had my 12 week scan, cvs test, 16 week scan, got an 18 week next week, 20 weeks in early aug and this new appt is with obstetrics at about 28 weeks? The lady's name on the letter was the consultant from my last scan but it doesn't say it's a scan (I am meant to be having one at 28 weeks) I can't ring them till next week when my boss is away (as the number is only available while I'm at work) when I met my midwife last week she didn't seem to be hugely attentive (she didn't have a clue about my cvs?!?!) so she didn't say anything to mr! Very confused as I'm now worrying something's wrong they haven't told us!!!

28 week is a standard appointment, then 31, then 34

Ah, then you are probably high risk, I.have had appointments with the cardiology team, they wanted to keep a close eye on me. Does it say which doctor/team? If you had anything that's not straightforward, I find that they better be safe than sorry which is fine with me!

If you're booked under a consultant and seen at hospital by a doctor, then they have classified you as high risk. Do I remember correctly that your baby possibly has a heart problem? Could it be for that? Or do you have any underlying condition such as diabetes, or very severe asthma or something?

We've been told since that the chances of him having one are tiny!! But were seeing a heart specialist next week so I'm confused!!

I think they are just keeping a close eye on you to make sure everything stays ok, the midwife said to us at the hospital they always like to be safe than sorry even if everything now seems to be fine. I am high risk at the hospital because of pre-eclampsia in my last 2 pregnancies, I was told after 20 weeks I would have to see a consultant and probably have extra scans, just to be on the safe side! Try not to worry hun, there just probably being extra safe, which is a good thing, right? x x x

yep, you will be considered high risk probably hunny! i am having constant appointments throughout xxx
