You see the black arrow on here next to the orange "new posts" symbol...

Has that always been there or is it new?

When you click on the black arrow it sends you to the newest posts that you've not yet read instead of having to trawl through to find where you got to.

I swear it would just have an orange thing there before without the black arrow?

Excuse me if I'm wrong... I just needed to know! And if it's been there the whole time, how stupid do I feel that I never clicked on it...!!!

another question.....Why is it as soon as I post a new topic people that weren't on the forum or that particular section post on it? Is there a way of recieving email alerts for new threads without being logged onto the forum????

Bet theres loads of little tricks I don't know

I only get my email alerts for topics I've posted in myself. Any others I have to read through of my own accord.

Means any topic I start and post myself or reply to I always get an email alert that there are replies since I posted. Sometimes the emails get a bit out of hand and I end up with masses, but this forum has so many different sections it makes it easy to go find a thread if I can get an email alert.

According to the profile page its only that setting you can alter. There is none to tell you when someone has started a new thread and to go look at it.

I don't get what you mean?

people post on it that you didn;t know were on the forum? Maybe they were hidden?


No email for new threads, you can click the "view your posts" and "view posts since last visit" at the top right of the main forum page though.

Either that or click "Notify me when a reply is posted" when you post in something to see what replies there are.
