Am I being over sensitive?

Im so sick of people commenting on the size of my bump....
We called in to see my MIL in work this afternoon, all her work colleagues commented on my bump and how H-U-G-E it is and how i look as though im having triplets and how they were no way near as big as me even when they were full term!!! ...they made me feel like some kind of freak!!!
Ive put on a little weight, my size 8 maternity jeans still fit me so im not fat...it's just im carrying all at the front so it looks big from the side.
Maybe it's my hormones but i had a good cry when i got home.


Does anyone else get upset by these kinds of comment?
My OH said i should take the comments as complements.

Yeah i get it all the time, i was a size 16 before getting pg, so for ages i looked fatter rather than pg, then over night, lol i grew this huge bump, people always comment on how big i look, now i have actually "lost weight"!! i wear a 14 maternity jeans or trousers now as the 16 just started to sag at my bum and fall down. This one lady started to tell me she had twins and was not as big as me at full term, she then said "and what a shame you would be so pretty" i was so shocked i just said "well you can def tell you had twins love" and walked off!! do not let people get to you mate!!! chin and bump up! the stupid comments will not matter in 8 weeks xxxx

dont worry about it hun how can they say that if your still in size 8 jeans i bet i wouldnt be able to get a size 8 jeans done up round my thigh atm lmao

i am usually a size 12 and at the moment am in a size 14-16 which i dont think is too bad for me as i struggle with my weight so expected to put on more anyway as you cna imagine i was a tad upset when a family friend said how big i am and she wasnt as big as me full term, her baby is now 4 months old and she is still in a 20+.
I think if you are naturally small it tends to make your bump look bigger

I can sympathise,...I too am carrying all out front, look like i've swallowed a football!

my MIL likes to make comments on my size, however my mum says I'm just right

i've had various comments ranging from "your huge" to "your neat"....


my OH says the same.... I dont think they understand when its personal comments on your body!

Awww i cant really say it upsets me at all when people say im big, mostly because i am
im usually a size 8 and only 95lbs ish, im just very small framed and always have been. Im not sure what i am now- im a L in maternity whatever that is, and 160lbs but get comments ALL the time. even since 10 weeks. i was only three months when we was on our honeymoon and somebody asked if i was due soon!! im really enjoying having the extra weight to be honest. This last month i have really grown as you can see in tummy thread lol, but just think your body is doing an amazing thing carrying that baby inside you and you shouldnt feel like a freak at all, its the most natural thing in the world. just laugh at the comments and if they are rude and by someone you dont like just say back well, im pregnant, but you have no exuse

We all react different hun.......I personally wish someone would tell me I look huge, honestly I do - Im going to post a photo if I can charge the camera (still has a French plug on it), and see how you all think I look.

Im a little worried especially after measuring small at my lasy MW appointment......I want a bump like Baby&i's

grrrrrr these comments really annoy me!!
there are quite a few of us at work who are pregnant,im the furthest on out of them all,and get the god your huge compared to .......,yes thats because im 27 weeks and shes 12 weeks!!!
i get the your carrying "neat" comments now and again but most say im big!
i do seem to have sprouted over the last 7 weeks as at 20 weeks i was very "neat" and now i am looking obviously pregnant!
i think its cheeky now people can be insulting and get away with it when your pregnant!
im sure they would not go up to an overweight person and say god your huge!! (without being punched!!!!)
lol we'll have to come up with some good one liners to say back!!
my gran always says tome each time she sees me "your getting bigger" i said to her last time "i think thats meant to happen!"
