we have 90% decided on alexa-jayde and would prob call her lexie for short.

can anyone think of reasons not to choose this? picked on? tacky? etc

Though I'd go without the hyphen as it will have to be used on all paperwork etc every time she writes her first name. Technically she won't be able to leave off the Jayde part, even if she only gets called Alexa or a pet form of the name.

I prefer single first names, or if using both for first names, no hyphen in them for this reason.

I don't think it's tacky or a reason to be picked on. I do agree with Sherlock about the hyphen though.
I have a double barrelled name and I hate it, I hate having to explain to people all the time that I want to be called Sue rather than Sue-Ellen
