Age gaps between children

It is looking quite favourable for 2 year gap at the mo

What you really need to know is what its like with two going through puberty together... :rotfl: :rotfl: having one is a scary enough thought :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've got 12 years between my two and it is great.

George is like a second dad to Sam and is really helpful and can give me 5 mins break if i need it.

Sam adores his big brother already too and even if he is fast asleep when he comes home from school he always wakes up when he hears his voice :D

I really don't know how i'd cope with a small age gap between kids i admire all the mums who have a baby and a toddler - i don't think I could do it.

there is 2y 3m between my two boys, I think it is a nice age gap, just wished they wernt both in nappies, was a pain when first got home with new baby, just feed them and did nappies, still abit hard when I am breastfeeding the baby then my toddler does the worst poo ever!

My hubby had just under 2 years between him and his brother and they hate each other. I have 14 years between me and my 1st half brother and that is great. Luck of the draw and parenting I think!

I believe a small age gap is possibly harder on Mummy than a larger one, but I believe the benefits to the children outweighs that. I see things in Isaac I know his sister won't have to go through because she'll have him, she'll not be the only one, and will have to adjust to a family, rather than be the centre of everything. Having 2 children being the centre of attention is better than one, in my opinion, think I've gone off point there  I've not had my second child yet but I'm very happy to be having her now and not in 3 or 4yrs time, though believe our 3rd, 4th children won't be arriving for a few years after her, I think that's when a longer age gap suits :)

If I could choose when to conceive and money/houses & amount of bedrooms & storage space was no option, I'd have baby 1 2007 (already born!), baby 2 summer 2009, baby 3 2014 and baby 4 2016 (when I'm 36 so they will all be grown up, left home and through uni by the time I'm 60!).

My OH likes summer babies as he's a teacher so he gets lots of time at home for baby preparation then helping and visitors, bonding etc! His parents were teachers and all their babies were June & July too!

I put 4 years. If we were in a better situation financially and we owned our own house and stuff I'd probably say between 2 and 3 years.
