Hi ladies !

Wow it feels strange to be back on this amazing forum! Made some friends for life on here so if you're new enjoy every minute !

My story : it took us 2 and a half years to conceive our beautiful little Ella Siena who will be 2 on the 7th of next month (dreams do come true!!!) turns out after much investiagation I was over producing eggs, one round of clomid and I amazingly fell pregnant. Well , since had a coil fitted due to bleeding and womb issues, having it taken out this week to TTC again but wondering if anyone knows if I'll have to go back to the fertile clinic for more clomid or I'll have to be TTC for 12+ months again? Or j can get clomid from my doctors?

I will ask the professionals just wondered if anyone in here knew anything ....

Many thanks and good luck to all you gorgeous ladies TTC !

Hi! How exciting:). Took us 2.5 years to get Imogen too and finally have a successful pregnancy and I'm hoping we will catch before the clinic in October.
My friend had clomid to conceive her first and then she fell pregnant when he baby was a few months old really easy. She then fell pregnant with the third when that baby was a few months. So it can defo be easier afterwards. Do you have pcos xxx

Oh also gp probably won't give clomid no but you can pay privately at a fertility clinic for it and you don't have to wait to ttc another year xx

Hi lovely !! Love seeing your Instagram posts of your gorgeous little one ! So glad we made friends via this to keep updated on our gorgeous girls ! Good luck to you two as well !

They mentioned i had PCOS in one of my first scans and then it was never mentioned again - I had the coil fitted because of bleeding and cysts. Xxx

They do say pcos can improve after having a baby so maybe you won't need clomid again:) I'm thinking pcos might be what they meant by overproducing eggs as I have it and there is little cysts around the ovary with pcos which are eggs that don't fully mature or something like that so never release properly. You might ovulate on your own this time ..maybe give it a few cycles see how things are then arrange to see a fertility clinic? Clomid isn't expensive at the clinic privately at all it was like £2 per tablet when we got it a couple years ago but the consultations are usually like £200. You could see whether your gp will refer you to the same clinic they referred you to in the first place rather than fully private and then i think they can do the consultation and you just pay for any treatment. That's what I've done but obviously there is a waiting list to see someone and they made me redo my bloods etc again to send the clinic. But we are going to go fully private October if haven't heard by then cause I know we want a small gap and don't want to have to go through all the disappointment again. You could go to GP and ask to be referred to same place as last time and in the few months it takes to get an appointment you can ttc and hope that you fall without clomid this time?xx

Hi! Nice to see you back here. Our paths crossed when we were TTC in 2014. Our little girl will be 2 in October and we will TTC again starting November!

Wishing you the best of luck with no 2 xx

Welcome back hun!

I've got no idea re: clomid etc but just wanted to wish you good luck on your journey to number two! Here's hoping it's a quicker and smoother journey than you had the first time round.

UPDATE !

Had my coil removed so officially TTC now ! My doctor was amazing and said if I haven't conceived by December she'll put me forward to the fertility clinic myself but similar to what you ladies have said she said it may have all sorted itself out :)

Thank you !! Excited to share another journey with you all on this forum!

Popping out to get some folic acid as we speak!

I bought clomid through an online prescribed site, answered the questions the doctor goes through the information and prescribed them for me. . It cost the prescription charge plus consultation. I didn't want to wait for my cycle to return back to normal after years on the pill and being 39 time is against me so I jump started my ovaries this way. I would never advise this for anybody who hasn't been through the correct fertility route first, but for me it worked (as I've used clomid before through my gp) and I'm ovulating normally again, just waiting for the "mans men" to sort their act out and find the little devil!! Good luck

Awww that's great fingers crossed! Xx

Welcome back :) that's great that they will refer you again by December, might be worth checking if they will see you though as you have a child, they can be quite against any fertility help with second child. I had that problem and we had to go private. Best of luck and hope it happens for you soon xx

Hi stargirl thank you !!

Ahh really lisey!?! Did you have same issues first and second time?

Thinking about buying clomid myself also but not too sure?

Xx

My gp said they can do the referal a second time it's just once it gets past first consultation and onto treatment then it will be self funded xxx

My first was conceived with no issues many years ago, so didn't know at that stage would need IVF.
NHS just have their rules with what they'll fund when you already have a child. My son is not my OHs biologically but that didn't matter to them, if OH had a child it still would have been the same, they wouldn't have funded any treatment.
They did refer us and the can a scan and hsg to investigate but said they wouldn't fund anything else xx

Welcome back, hope it doesn't take as long for you second time round xx

Thanks for all the advice and help so far ladies !

I started bleeding Saturday so a day and half after having the coil out and seems to be going off now which is a good sign, I think? Worried I was going to bleed for ages or not bleed at all!

Lisey that's bonkers !! Can't get my head round why they'd do that! Xx
