advice please

about 3/4 weeks ago I really hurt my foot when I trapped in and fell down the last stair (it's open plan) any how I didn't go to docs/hospital and it did bruise up and swelling went down etc, but it still hurts could it be broken?

I badly sprained my ankle a few yearsa go and went to the hospital, where I was told that sprains can be worse than a break in the foot...I think because theres so many small bones in the foot.

If your worried it might be worth giving NHS direct a call, see if you need to go and have it x-rayed just to be on the safe side.

could be a fracture in there somewhere - best to go get it checked out
