I'm quite worried as I have been having fairly painful contractions felt in the front and back for the last hour or more. They are coming constantly like every few minutes! Maybe I am just panicking but do you think I should call the midwife to check? They havent been as regular and painful as this before :(

Yes, I would call her. I've no idea if it means anything, but I would want to be sure. Good luck, and let us know how you get on

Keep us updated Mermaid...hopefully they are just Braxtons Hicks!

good luck hunny, hope u have a lovely midwife looking afteryou xx

Thanks everybody :D , the contractions wore off after about three hours of having them every 3-4 minutes! I didn't call the hospital - sounds daft but I was scared to call them. If these were practise contractions, then I'm dreading the REAL deal!

aww hun you should have called them
you might have a urine infection, they told me thats what kept setting me off

Hope your ok babes
xxxxxxx

If I don't call them when the real thing happens, I just might end up having him at home....or in the back of the car lol!

I have a hosp. appointment today so I will tell the midwife what was happening and see what she says.

Sorry to hear you had such a scare, hope all is well

hope ur appy goes well...

in future dont be scared to ring ur midwife... i had contractions for 3 hours over the weekend!!! its so scary, but the midwife said she was much happier i came in when they asked...coz if it carries on they wud have had to stop contractions to give u steriods!!!

better to be safe than sorry hunny, even if hospitals do suck!! ;)

Just to quickly say my appt went well today and everything is just fine. Apparently this is completely normal and will probably just get worse as time goes on lol! Aaaargh!

Also, baby measurements are just below the middle line on the graph, so Im pleased about that. Midwife said as I'm petite, baby won't be large anyway. Phew! :rotfl:
