If you've seen my other thread, your see that Charley keeps being sick. It's not just after every bottle it can be up to 2 hours after it!
I did think earlier, I think it started when I upped his bottles. He downs 7oz's every 3 hours so he must be hungry but now I'm wondering if he's over feeding causing him to be sick?! My problem is now... If I lower his bottles to 6oz's he'll be hungry even quicker so do you think I should lower and maybe start weaning again?
I did stop and wanted to wait until 5 months so it's not much longer to wait but if he has less milk he'll be hungry so I'm thinking the food will fill him up and maybe stop him being sick!
What do you think?
I didn't wanna give him food but if it helps I might have too!

Oh and he's having 30oz's of milk in 12 hours then a further 7-14oz's during the night depending on night feeds!
That's loads ain't it?

Oh and forgot to mention I tried hungry baby ages ago but it made him sick!

Hey, sorry I can't advise, still breastfeeding and it frightens me how much milk these babies need! Hope you get some answers soon x

Thanks Hun, it's worrying me the fact it's been going on for a week now! My hv wasn't helpful at all when I asked her, just said it's prob a bug! I'm sure he would be over a "bug" by now!

Im sure the HV's have a script to stick to, i asked mine if i could have some advice aboutcwhst i can wean her onto at 4months n if boiled bottled water is ok for makin up bottles in tenerife, her advice... Dont take her away while still having milk n dont wean til shes 6months, well cheers for that useless advice!
Iv been told by a much better HV that they can have 2-2.5 times there bodyweight in formula, laylas 13lb7 n has between 28-35oz a day,
Im sure ur right tho that if it was a bug he would be over it by now, maybe lile u said trying him on some food agaon might help him,
X

Hi hun, where you to?? Haven't seen you in ages.

Drake has been like this for a good few weeks. The only thing i can think of is that he's teething and the extra saliva in his belly doesn't agree with the milk sometimes? Its mad cos in the first 3 months he was never sick! I took him over to the shop the other day (mind you it was straight after his feed so my fault really lol) and he puked all over my coat, over my shoes and over the shop floor!

My wee man was like that after he was born up until I spaced his feeds out more. He was feeding 2 1/2-3 hourly and overloading his tummy so he'd puke :(
So now he feeds like this 6.30-7am (7-8oz), 10.30am (7-8oz), 2.30pm (8oz), 6pm (7-8oz) then a a dream feed at 10pm (6oz) and he's stopped being as sick :yay: and he sleeps from 8pm-6/7am :D mummy is very happy :)

If he wasn't refluxy before now I doubt its this. It could be a bug, lingering so I'd take the wee man back hun

Hey guys!
Well even though he downed his 7oz bottles, I lowered them to 6oz's he carried on being sick and cried cos he was still hungry so I tried infant gaviscon and his sick was thicker!
I tried spacing feeds out and giving him food and he was still sick!
I took him to the doctors Monday and first off she said bug and the rash is viral so he should be better soon then said he prob has reflux too. Since then he won't drink the milk with the gaviscon in it and only takes 3-4oz's of milk. With 1 feed he only took 1oz and he was sick straight away! I'm gonna give it until Friday to see if he improves then it'll be another trip to the docs!!

Maybe it is a bug then? I'm really not sure Hun!
