i got this dress last week for Leahs christening.
now im not too sure - i dont know if its too posh?? im gonna accessorise with silver.
weve had to move the christening to september now, so i still have time to take it back and get a refund, and get something else.
It cost quite a bit and if its gonna look silly for a christening i'd rather get my money back!
please be honest

I think its lush, remember she only gets christened once so its a very special day.

The contrast between the black and the white/cream of the christening gown will be fab too.

My only prob would be if perhaps it shows a little to much shoulder for church, perhaps a shawl.

But on second thoughts brides get married showing shoulder and they are meant to be virginial.

So scrub that

Its lovely! Just think of the pictures that are going to be taken, do you reslly want to be in something you are gonna look back on and say i wish i had dresssed up abit more for my little girls big day.

You have made me realise though that I havent got anything to wear yet for Lilys christening damn it :rotfl:

You will look fab dont worry!

thanks.. yeah i asked in buy&sell for a silver bolero and jade's offered me a silver shawl (cos hate my arms anyway) so will see how that looks

Its gorgeous but I would definately invest in a silver pashmina, especially for September!! Churches can be bloomin' cold even in the best weather!

I say wear it. It's a special day for you and your daughter, so why not dress up a bit. :D

Its a beautiful dress.
Like someone has said i would wear something over my shoulders, i'm sure you will look amazing.
