Hey all, well for the last 3 nights amber has not slept proporly, usually a great sleeper for 12 hours we just have to do a dummy run. But last few nights she has been terrible, waking and crying like every 10-15 minutes. She isnt hungary and i really dont want to start giving food in the middle of the night i change her bum but nothing helps. In the end we bring her into our bed and OH goes on sofa!!!! she isnt as bad then but does winge a little.

She has been getting really hot and i have been dosing with calpol which doesnt make her wingy during the day but when she wakes during the night she is really hot again, she is just not the happy baby she is, she doesnt want to play alls she wants to do is sleep and that is always on me.

She got her first tooth about a week ago now do you think its simply just teething? The calpol takes her temp away but it says on bottle no more than 2 doses in 24 hours or something so i am weary to give another one before bed but she obv needs it?

Shall i just persevere and continue until it passes or whip her off to docs? She is coughing but its a 'fake' cough and always stops when i give her some attention. Is she just being a little madam??? :rotfl:

help!

hmmmm..im not too sure hun , but i did not want to read and run... i think maybe u should take her to the doctors so she can be checked over...u say all she does is sleep all day and cry at night with a temp...well i know teething shouldnt cause those symptoms  but at seven months i dont think she should be "sleeping all day" my little one was very active at 7 months and i had to force him to nap in the day..so as precaution id say get her in with the doctor so then at least u can have ur mind eased

not to sure what else to suggest really - hope all is okay tho hun...let us know how u get on

We went throught a phase of Daniel waking up every 15 mins and wanting dummy. And OMG, it was hard, hard, hard!

I would sayif there would be something really wrong with her she wouldnt settle even in your arms so I think she just wants some extra attention.

Ive read, that babies between 6 and 8 months go through the phase of being scared to be apart from their parents (separation anexiaety sp?)

Plus if she is teething, poor thing  Have you tried putting teething gels on? Bonjela does wonders for us.

And keep doing what you are doing. Dont let her scream.

Poor Amber, I think it is probably teething but with her getting a temperature I would get her checked by the doctors.

When Maisie got her first tooth through she slept all night without even wanting her dummy but then 2 days later she got her 2nd tooth and now the top 2 are coming through and I haven't had a good nights sleep yet.

I agree with Carina the Bongela works wonders, I just put a bit on Maisie's gums pop her dummy back in and she keeps it in then (for a while anyway).

To be sure though I would get her checked and then you are not constantly worrying and wondering if anything is up.

Good Luck and let us know how you get on.
