said to my friend that I would ask you ladies your advice on her problem, as you are all so great!

She has been exclusively bfing for 17 weeks, and is at the end of her rope. She wants to end it and switch to formula, but her LO will NOT take a bottle.
She goes hysterical. my friends tried all different teats and bottles and is really fed up :(

She got married last month, sat in corner feeding all evening, and had no wedding night or honeymoon as bubs is feeding hourly almost, she cant go anywhere without her and just wants OH to be able to help feed as shes knackered and down.

Anyone have any advice on switching to formula?
The poor girl is now thinking she will never bf with her next due to all this hassle.

Has she tried expressed milk in a bottle first? She could carry on breastfeeding this way maybe if her hubby wants to help?
If I'm honest the only thing I found that worked was perseverance....probably not what your friend needs to hear right now. :?

I used the "breast flow" bottles which the baby has to use like a nipple to get the milk out, but it still took a while for Riley to get the hang of it.

Yea shes tried expressed milk..it seems to be just the teats she doesnt like.
Shes got other people to try as she worried it was because LO was too clever for her own good and was thinking "oh no mrs, you are the one with the boobs...thats what I what, not this plastic rubbish" But she wont take from anyone

Will mention about the breast flow ones, thanks hun

Some of the girls on here recommended the Tommee Tipee closer to nature bottle and Teddy takes them fine after having a problem normal shaped teats. Although he is clever and will take expressed breast milk from it no problem but try and give him formula and he fusses spits it out dribbles it everywhere and screams. But yeh those bottles i got from asda and they are anti colic too cutting down on the amount of air that they take in.

By the way HOW HOT DO YOU LOOK IN YOUR NEW AVATAR!? WIT WOOOOOOO!
