Anyone's babies suffered with acid reflux? I think Charlie may have this, he has been really hard to settle and he seems to be gagging and choking like there is a nasty taste in his mouth, been a bit scary :(

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of this, or any advice, would it be best to contact the health visitor or to make an appointment with the gp? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

see your GP hon :) but don't forget to take your red book as the GP will need to see if he is growing well (as it changes the treatment)

does sound like he has reflux - Baby smile is on infant gaviscon which does the trick brilliantly but speak to your GP

sounds like reflux to me, Harrison has the same - he's quite sicky too.

See your gp :D

Babylicious, does Harrison have any meds for it? What can I do to help ease the discomfort for him?

I phoned the hv and she came out basically straight away and said it does sound like reflux and has just suggested giving him some cooled boiled water to ease the burning in his throat and maybe changing formula.
