I have got Pip sleeping bags but was wondering can you use it in a moses basket and also because they are long and its advised to put your babe at the bottom of the cot/basket then do you fold it too her feet or do you lay her with the sleepybag touching the bottom and her at the top of the bag with the length just spread down? :D Thankyou!

Angel has hers in the moses basket. And i put it so her feet are touching the bottom. The bottom of the sleeping bag sticks up over the end. If she was smaller i'd probably tuck it under.

Hi there

The reason they say to put babies feet to the bottom of the moses basket/cot is so that they wont be able to wriggle down under any covers you put them under at night.
With a sleeping bag the baby shouldnt beable to wriggle down so i myself dont put Calleigh feet to the bottom of the cot when she is in the sleeping bag.

So its up to you how you want to lay your LO. You could hang the excess off the bottom of the cot or place her higher in the moses basket.

The excess we just have sticking up the way as she likes to be able to move her legs at her leisure - she's only been in sleeping bags for about 3 weeks now because before she hated having her legs restrained!

We put Galen's feet nearer the bottom of the basket and put the excess bag over the end. Easier than having it all in the basket.

Now he is in his cot we put him in the middle and he just kicks around however he likes and the bag is fine.

Feet to bottom is when using sheets and blankets really. I've never done that when using sleeping bags.
