Why is it that wherever i park, be it Tesco's, a multistorey, town centre, i always get some knob head park so close to me i cant get in the bloody drivers door

Yesterday i parked perfectly in the space so i had room to get in and out, then when i'd done my shopping and got back to the car some idiotic merc driver had pulled in so close i couldnt even walk down the side let alone open the door and get in the damn car - cue lots of huffs and puffs as i had to get in the passenger door and clamber over - not easy at all

THEN today i got exactly the same problem, i could just open the door but tried squeezing through and nearly got stuck
Ive had enough of this !!!
Wish they had special spaces for pregnant women - just as taxing getting a huge belly in the car as getting a child in i think

Anyone else had this problem ??

I slipped over once or twice and knocked wing mirrors  when passing idiots like that.

trouble is, the parking spaces are so small, and cars are getting so big. I agree though, there should be expectant mother parking - there is in the ASDA near me!! Shame I go to Tesco really :wall:

Park over 2 spaces! Yes people will whinge about how inconsiderate you are but nobody will dare to question you if they see you doing struggling with your bump!

When my husband takes me the shops in the car he has taken to parking in the mother and child bit so we have more space, as he says your carrying the child you need more room, and its becasue of inconsiderate drivers that he has started to do this.
At first i kept telling him not to coz we dont have a pram but because of my SPD i have to pull my self out of the car so the door has to be fully open to do this, so i dont mind parking there anymore as i cant get in and out of a nornmal space becuause of drivers parking right up against the door.

I agree that there should be expectant mother spaces! Its bloody hard work getting in and out of the car!

I know the Tesco mother and baby spaces are for pregnant women too near me! There a pic of a pregnant women and also babies etc!
I had a similar thing the other day when a Mazda parked so close and the wing mirror happened to be where my door opened too so even less room! Well now thats not my fault he got a big scratch/dent in his wing mirror now is it?! I had to wait while my friend pulled the car out of the parking space then got in! Ridiculous!

yes actually thinking about it, the pictures at my local tesco are of a pregnant lady pushing a buggy - hhmm i may try that then. Scratching / pushing wing mirrors gives satisfaction but doesnt help the problem unfortunately (however i must admit that inconsiderate merc man now has a nice scratch  )

Maybe they are for pregnant women !!!!!!! my local super market the woman is pregnant holding a kids hand (i think or my pregnancy brain has just invented a new pic)

My husband has also taken to leaving notes on peoples cars explaining that am pregnant and they are being inconsiderate although not as polite lol (you know how protective men can be)

I think he has some of my pregnancy hormones yesterday he shouted at somebody for useing a mum and baby space because it was a man with no child or pregnant woman he got really sarcastic with the man and usually thats my thing to do

yeah, when i joined the mother & baby club i got a parking pass for the mother & baby spaces & it says to put your due date on the sticker, not your babies actual DOB, you can use it before hand. it's been really useful, people all seem to congregate around other cars, it's stupid!

Aye just use the mother and baby spaces - nobody would mind at all! Our local sainsbury's has extra wide spaces in addition to mother n baby and disabled bays but usually filled with bloody 4 by 4's  haven't had a car for a few months now anyways but i'd definatley be using the mother n baby spaces if i was still driving :)

it doesnt get any easier when u have ur baby either because idiots who dont have babies park in the mother and baby spots. i one had t climb over the drivers seat with thecar seat to get it out!
and that was hard! x

yesterday someone parked so close to me (after cinema)

i couldnt get in, nor could i on passenger side.. ony hope i had was its a 5door car, was to get in bk (as guy had parked at wierd angle) as climb thru i wasnt about to do that..

my OH doesnt have a driving licence (well banned  ) i refused to let him move it, but as i had no other option he had to..

stupid pple parking like damn idiots..

xx

OMg this happened to me the other day...there were LOADS of spaces, but some IDIOT parked next to me, and I had to get in passebeger side and climb over (with a huge belly and sciatica)

So I left him a shitty note :shakehead:

Just been to asda and the mother and child parking soace is a pregnant woman holding the hand of a child, now all we need to do is notify all the people parking there who dont have children or are pregnant to park some where else (wonder how long that would take lol )
