Sorry, what a useless title but I'm so cross!!

Not sure if anyone's up to date with my story from the journals but in short, I never got any scans etc before I started clomid and later moved to letrozole. I'm ovulating on letrozole but, becuase I'm not pregnant, they can't do anything more for me apparently other than refer me for IVF! They've agreed to give me an HSG though and I was told not to take the letrozole in my next cycle or TTC so that the HSG can do it's job.

So, yesterday was CD2 and I decided not to take the letrozole and just risk it that the hospital could do the HSG this month. Just off the phone and they are fully booked this cycle and told me to call back next cycle! However, I will need to take provera to induce a new cycle since I won't ovulate this month and there's no way I want to risk taking provera, missing out the letrozole again and then they are still fully booked! I'll also be on holiday then, back to where we had our honeymoon and really wanted to conceive then :(.

I'm so frustrated and don't know what to do. I don't even know if what I've just typed makes sense to anyone reading this lol.

Can you book an appointment at a private clinic for an HSG? x

You can have a private hsg but I believe they are very expensive.

I can't believe they are fully booked, I thought they had to do it? I've been waiting since Feb for mine but that is because my period vanished, then I got pg, then mc, then no period again so had to have it induced for my hsg (which is today and I'm really not looking forward to it).

Also I had a choice of two hospitals, do you have another hospital you can go to who might be able to fit you in?

That's a good point about another hospital. I think the only one on the ball enough to offer that would be my GP. I don't have direct access to the hospital clinic as it's so over prescribed...!

I've spoken to my private healthcare advisor and they do not cover it on my insurance and the hosiptal direct fees are just under £500 so I'm not paying that when I'm entitled to it for free on the NHS!

Why can't the NHS work the way it's supposed to?! x
