I don't know what is going on with me!
I keep getting BFN. My period is never this late
I'm on day 55 of my cycle I DEF OV on the 11th August as I got a positive and then for 2 days after. 24 days ago
I'm so confused!
Anyone got any ideas?


EDIT: I didn't ovulate on the 11th Aug it was the 3rd My last AF was 11th July (thats where I got the 11th from!)
So I OV 32 days ago.

ou could ask your doc to test your hcg level by bloods.

I agree, go to the dr's they should definitly give you a blood test if you have no period. How strange to have BFP's then BFN's...weird.

Jade89, I had positive ovulation tests not a bfp, unfortunately!

Is it possible to be pregnant but still get bfn?

It is possable to be pg and get a BFN but only if you tested too early.

Possible but unnusual. If you can ask your doctor for an hcg test
then you'll know for sure.

I know I'm not pregnant, I've done SO many tests!! I just don't know where my AF is

There are some women (very few though) who never get a positve test with urine and only get a positive with a blood test. But if you got a positive on a urine test with Dan then thats unlikely

Not sure what could be happening hun, might be worth a visit to you docs.

Hope the docs can sort it out and you get your BFP or AF soon

Id go to see your gp if your concerned hun, it does sound odd that your period hasnt arrived. Stressing can sometimes delay it, as easy as it is to say try to relax and bit and maybe it will show its head? Hard I know!!!

Hmmm.... might be a far fetched theory but have you heard of a very early fertilised egg being absorbed by the body?
like it just dissolves into the lining rather than implanting and then you don't get a period until your next cycle...?!
I'm gonna go google it but i have heard of this happening before!

blighted ovum- i think this is what i was thinking of...it wouldn't show as a bfp because no implantation occurs..so no placenta..and no hcg being released!!

I think it is possible that you may not have ovulated even though you got a positive OPK. The OPK measures the amount of Luteinizing Hormone in your urine, this surge is meant to start the process of the ovary releasing the egg in the next 12-24 hours of the surge. It is possible to have surges throughout the month without the end result being ovulation and the only way to confirm that ovulation has happened is by the basal body temp rise which you would only see if you are charting.

However having said that, there are cases of pregnancy tests not picking up the hormone levels required so I would head to the doctors and ask for a blood test. If the blood test comes back negative then it is possible you still might not have ovulated especially as stress could be preventing this.

blimey misslarue where could it have gone!! sounds a bit like tashas story her AF was ages after ovulation.

i have no ideas maybe discuss it with drs though.

I've still no AF. Tested again this morning, BFN. I really felt like I was going to come on today, but so far nothing. Oh well maybe it will happen in the night. Or she's just waiting to spoil my birthday on Sunday!
