A short saga-paternity-advice?

OK. I'm pregnant and am not sure who the father is. I will have an ultrasound on Monday that should establish it by establishing the estimated due date. In the mean time, my wheels are spinning like crazy. To deal with it, I'll post here and see what you guys think. My question is, which scenario seems more likely, guy #1 or guy #2?

I had a period on August 2. I have unprotected sex with guy #1 on August 8, 9 and the 23rd. I remember having a period (maybe a day short, 3 or 4 rather than 4 or 5 days, but with the usual cramps and heavy flow) starting on September 3 (can't quite remember when it ends). I have unprotected sex with guy #2 once--on September 10.

Here's a key set of facts I think. I am married to guy #2. I have had unprotected sex with guy #2 for the last 10 years with out a pregnancy (that I know of). Never even a period that I noticed that was late. Guy #1 shows up in July and we have lots of unprotected sex through August (I know, not smart, I'm seeing a counselor and working on these reltaionship problems).

My gag reflex starts kicking in about Sept 18 maybe a little earlier. I am very sensitive to smells starting then and gag (but do not vomit) very easily. Starting about Sept. 18, certain photos, my toothbrush every morning, the smell of my dog's poo, a scene from Jackass, all make me gag. I've never had these kinds of gagging issues before.

Sept. 29 I gag and vomit unprovoked. I take a pregnanacy test that day and it is positive. Two bright lines, no question about it. Take another test next morning same thing,

From that day forward pregancy symptoms really kick in. I've gotten progressively more nauseous since then. Right now is really really rough. Having trouble holding down any food or water even.

So, my questions: What are the chances that this is guy #1 given all these facts? To tell you the truth I frankly don't know which one would be better. I am without a doubt keeping the baby though. That's not my issue. My question is, does anyone have a sense from the facts I've described which one is more likely the guy--guy #1 or guy #2? ?

I really can't tell I'm afraid hun as the dates all seem strange.

2 scenarios (which assume you have regular 28 day cycle - though your cycle seemed to be 33 days so all of the below could be out by 5 days)

1. your proper last period started on 2nd August, so you would possibly be ovulating and fertile on 15th August +/- a couple of days.

2. your last period started on 3rd September so normal fertile period would be on 16th September +/- a couple of days

If your normal cycle is 33 days then ovulation would be around 20/08 or 21/09 (most likely scenario here is guy number 1 on 23/08 but you appear to have had a normal period afterwards which is confusing).

Normally morning sickness kicks in around 6 weeks but can be earlier for some people. But if you fell pregnant in the first scenario above, then 6 weeks would be around 26th September. If it was second scenario then MS would start around 28th October. As I say though some people have started MS much earlier though I've never heard of it starting within 2 weeks of ovulating though - others may know more!

In a 28 days cycle, as far as getting a strong BFP on 29th September, this is most likely in the first scenario above, as in the second you would still be testing early and in most cases, would only get a very faint positive (but again everyone is different and there are some people on this forum who test early and get a strong positive). But assuming 33 day cycle then either scenarios would probably give a strong positive

I have to be honest and say I would think its likely to be number 1. With the timing of the gagging/sickness etc and if you only had sex once with number 2 on the 10th Sept and had a strong positive preg test by the 29th then thats only 19 days after sex and highly unlikely it would have shown as positive that quickly?

I would say guy 1 given the syptoms, test strength, dates of intercourse, etc, but then it could still be guy 2. Given the fact you appear to have a normal period afterward seeing guy 1 makes it seem more likely for number 2, but then alot of women do bleed around the time of their expected period and are still pregnant. This is a tough one, It is possible to still get pregnant from sperm 4 or 5 days old so your husbandcould well be the father.

Let us know how the ultrasound goes on Monday. I suppose, if guy one is the father, you should expect to see a 10/11 week old fetus. If the baby is your husbands, the baby will be 6 weeks old and may be possible to see a heartbeat.

By the way, rememer that the date they give you will not be from the date you had sex/concieved. Pregnancy is dated from the date of last period or start of cycle. So If you are told bean is measuring 7 weeks for example that would mean they had been concieved approx 5 weeks ago, if that makes sense.
