A question for the mums that were induced?

Hello ladies,
I am being induced at 6pm tonight and i have 2 birth partners my mum and partner!!
Im really nervous and have a little bit of a fear of hospitals!
Do i take both of them in from the minute they induce me or just my partner and ring my mum when labour starts!
Mum lives about 25 miles from the hospital!

when my friend went to be induced her labour was 3.5 hours from the second they broke her waters. i woulod take them both just in case its a quickie, they can always pop in and out if its going to be slow going. good luck! it must be really exciting knowing that today/tomorrow is the day

More often than not it takes a while though. Have you had any internals? Do you know if your cervix is favourable or you've started to dilate?

If it's shut up shop it may take a while. It took me four days!

I had a sweep last tuesday and had a show!
At that point the midwife said my cervix was softning!
So im not sure!

When i was Induced my OH took me to the hospital & my Mum came up a few hours later, like Minxy said it may take a while. It doesnt matter if your cervix isn't favourable though, mine wasnt, it was still tightly shut & Harrison wasnt engaged, yet i was only in labour for 1hr 35mins Its easier said than done i know but try not to be nervous just think of the end result. i tok my oh and he called my mum when they moved me into the labour room. but my mum & dad & sis did come up and visit me the evening before i gave birth.

but my mum lives just down the road to the hospital so she took 10mins to get to the hospital (and another 15 tto find where the labour ward was!).

I've already posted this, but goodluck! can't wait to see pics of little faith!

if you want them both there babe take them, i was 3cm dilated and still took 21 hours but it can happen quicker, i dont want to start saying "if i were you i would ..." but i did take both and mum went home and came back so at least i had the option of her staying or going instead of perhaps a rush getting her there, so instead of an if i were you lol its an if it were me id take her

Its hard to say. Alls that i know is when i went in to get induced my cervix was closed and really high up but it only took 1 hour after the 1st pessery for labour to really kick off fast. Good luck and i hope it goes well for you!

If you are nervous I would take whoever you want with you. I was in for ages with the pessery as they did nothing for me but as soon as they put me on the drip I was away!
