I lost loads of plug the night before, I also had loose bowels (lovely!)

I was in slow labour for a week, I was 3cm and I didn't know until I went for an appointment.. I got a sweep and after that I felt a bit achy with irregular contractions stopping and starting.. x

Now you look back, did you have any signs that you could contribute to being slow labour?

I knew nothing until I was examined, when she told me I was 3cm I nearly fainted My waters were leaking from November and I didn't have him to January 26th, and had a small leak not long before I went into proper labour, but I didn't have any of the things I thought I would have, the runs, feeling run down etc.. While in slow labour I had a few pains I could only describe as period pains, apparently this is common too.. Sorry I'm probably not much help lol but there are many ways we go into labour x x x

That's actually quite helpful, well for me anyway! I've been getting pains similar to period pains, and now that my stomach has become dodgy, i was wondering if things are starting to happen but seriously slowly!

yeh am same hun i been feeling rough of and on for days i get a sharp pain on my left hand side of belly lose stools and feeling very sick, i also been waking in night with pains and i thinking i losing my plug when i sit on toilet i do hope in a way thy examine me and say your 5cms lol x

I'm hoping they say 9cm that way, i'll have done all of that bit. I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow, but i don't think she's intending to examine me. I know i have a sweep in two weeks if theres still no sign of her

My MW told me that the period type of pains is your body getting ready to go into labour afraid I can't say when though lol is this LO your first Nik? I'm so jealous I would love to be going through labour again (sounds mad) but it was just such an amazing thing x

This is my first and i can't say i'm looking forward to the actual labour, although i'm getting quite excited anyway! I did googling, some people say the period pains are the start, others are saying they're just stretching pains. Would be nice if its the start, although on second thoughts, i WILL miss my Lee Evans gig if i have her early so maybe she'd like to hold on for a bit hehe

I was not with it with both. 1st pregnancy the night before I didn't want to see or speak to anyone, 2nd pregnancy I wanted to stay in bed all day and everything annoyed me. Other than that both labours started without warning!

I'm not giving up hope! Some people do win the lottery! We won once, granted it was like £7.50 but we won something I'm desperate for her to arrive now, i've just had enough
