Just thought I'd share.

So I've been going to pregnancy yoga classes, which I've really enjoyed.

Last night, 11.45pm:

DH: I think you should keep on going to yoga classes afterwards - the normal classes, that is.

Me: Oh yes, I'd love to, but they are earlier in the day than the pregnancy ones so you'd have to be working from home those days...

DH (puzzled): Why would I need to do that?

Me: Uhhhhhh. Cos who the f*** is going to look after the baby?!?!

DH (cringeing): Oh shit... I forgot.

:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock: :wall2::wall2::wall2::wall2: Yes, darling. We are having a baby. Or did he think I'd take it with me?! So it can disturb the yogic calm with its fussing and crying... Uh. No.

He said 'it's late...'. I said, 'There's no excuse'. I wasn't angry really - it was very funny :) Poor ******* is more tired than I am...

Oh my god. What have we done, when my husband can't even remember that we're going to have a baby?

lol thats hilarious. ooh maybe they do a mum and baby one? or failing that there is yoga on the wii fit that you could do at home lol

 hahaha this is really really funny!! My DH seems to think nothing is going to change after Roo arrives  He thinks he will be able to everything as normal and get all the sleep he needs!! Think these men are in for a rude awakening :) xx

Ha ha!! Thats funny. my DH thinks we'll be able to continue to just carry on as usual going off on long drives and taking weekends away at a moments notice. Which is true, we still will but with a bit more planning involved. Slinging the LO in a backpack and still climbing Ben Nevis is certainly out for this year and most likely next!

"Oh really??" He says "Erm, yes doofus" I respond :wall:
xx

Our poor, sweet, deluded menfolk...

Yeah, not too much mountain-climbing this summer, I think, although we STILL haven't been up Snowdon in good weather. That said, my friend took his 6 month old up Cader Idris last year...

Haha, they are still boys at heart :)

I told my husband that I read baby can go to a swimming pool straight after birth but mummy can't as she may get infection. So I said "You can take Sausage swimming without me" - he went pale :)

Haha. Bless him. I'd definitely make him do that and see how he copes :) x

That is absolutely classic Karen!!

Oh how I love the things our OH's come up with! x

Oh bless him! That's so funny. Every time I tell my oh how long we have left he goes pale. And we got a wedding invite the other day for September. Hubs asked if we were going and I said 'yes but I best ask her If she minds us bringing an 8 week old baby before we RSVP!' ha ha. He nearly choked.

Men are so funny.

I think it's a universal thing men thinking life will continue as normal. Don't get me wrong life won't stop but as you say planning will be required. My OH talks about things we've got planned in August/September and I say 'it's mad we'll have the baby then' I don't think the penny will drop until the little man is actually here xxx

Yeah, I don't think they have as much of an idea of how big a change it will all be until LO arrives. Poor things.

Spammy - we're going to a wedding under five weeks after my due date. I am hoping LO arrives early rather than late, but it's certainly going to be an experience whatever age the baby is. Can't wait to be able to introduce him/her to my friends, though.
x
