I found out about an infertility show that is on in London (Click Me) and although there doesn't seem to be much there for people who have been through and still undergoing IVF, there were a couple of seminars that interested me.

Having no family really knowing our current situation, i can't ask them to look after the dogs, so that would mean that i'd have to go by myself and i'm not comfortable doing that. Plus the seminars are on different days so it's be a stop over.

It a lot of driving, a lot of people and a lot of navigating.

So i thought that i'd contact the people holding the seminars to see if they could just tell me the names of the tests and proceedures that they might suggest to us.

A list would have done and there can't be that many.

The *******s wouldn't tell me!

How mean is that! I'd only pay them £1 to see the seminar and spend about £100 (if i got the train) and then the entry fee and then accommodation all for the want of that they wouldn't provide me with any information.

It wouldn't have been any trouble at all and it might have made the world of difference to me :(

 thats pretty shit of them! Some people are totally wrapped up in their own bubble and dont see how a small amount of time can make a big difference to someone else.

Aw Lou, that's dead tight of them :(
I'm presuming their website is of little/no news?

There was supposed to be baby show on over here last weekend and I found it quite bizarre that there were supposed to be exhibitors there for IVF and also infertility treatment. When I was having problems there is no way I'd have wanted to go to a baby show

Hi Lou, :)

Do you know the name of the speaker/Dr giving the seminar you could try and find out through them or for the £100, why don't you have a quick consultation with my Doc, have you been on his website?

Did you get chance to ask the clinic about the sperm thing?

xx

It was a university research professor and it was a she. Just heartless. I can't imagine them being contacted by people like me is a common occurance :(

She said she was sorry but can't reply to personal emails, so i replied that sure she was sorry as sarcastically as possible and thanked her for her time. She could have wrote to me from her home email if she wanted.

I can't find documents on the topic anywhere so if i can't get to the event, i won't know what she was going to suggest which knowing my luck would be FA anyway.

Princess, i was supposed to go to a Baby Show and was looking forward to it forever but i just couldn't face it... i might have still gone if i hadn't had a treatment cycle but definitely off the back of a failed one.

Maybe, i thought you was forwarding my info to your consultant to ask if they had anything worthwhile to suggest in addition to what my own consultant said before i paid for the extra consultation but you never got back to me?

I've wrote to the director of my clinic because ironically he is holding a seminar on how IMSI is supposed to offer hope to difficult situations even though his consultants and embryologists told me it was pointless

Oh Louise thats rubbish! She could have at least emailed you some advice!!

Hi Lou!

Bugger I forgot to email for you, I've just done it now and BCC'd you so FX I'll hear from them soon, I reckon they might need to see all your notes but we'll see, you never know....they were very helpful last time I spoke to them so FX! :)

This might sound like a really stupid question but why are they putting you through another cycle the same as last time if nothing has changed, what are they basing their hope on if nothing is changing? Are they in the mindset that last time was just terrible luck?

xx
