9dpo: diarrhoea and sharp pains in abdomen - PG symptom?

Hi ladies. So I'm 9dpo today (CD24). 4 days until test date/AF arrives. This morning I woke with nausea, and I have been to the toilet at least 4 times already. I keep getting sharp pains in my lower abdomen, all over - not like AF, just really stabby wind-type pains that cause me to almost keel over, and then have to sit on the toilet (to no avail these last couple of times). I'm very gassy (burping a lot) and I have an increased appetite (which makes me think it is not simply a stomach bug).

I wondered if anyone has or has had similar symptoms? Can diarrhoea be a pg sign??

Many thanks in advance! x

I think some people do get diarrhoea yes, I know I got sharp pains when I was pregnant too.
Good luck you can test now really? Xxx

Thanks treetrunks! that's good to know :) Can I ask if your pains were like a stabbing sensation? They've subsided for me now and I've not been back the toilet since about 11am.

I'm going to try and wait a few more days before testing - this is cycle #12 ttc (I've just realised that's a whole year of trying!) and I don't want to face BFNs just yet. Last month AF showed up before the need to test. At least that saves the pennies! xx

Hey, I had really bad diarrhoea when I found out I was pregnant and I too had sharp pains/ cramps that I was sure something was wrong so went to a+e but everything is fine I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant now, the diarrhoea has stopped and now I'm stuck with constipation, you could test now with a cheapie I bought a Tesco pack of 2 for £3.50 I think got my positive so went and bought clear blue digis and first responses, good luck xx

Thanks for your reply holli - this all sounds very positive :) Can I ask how many DPO you were when you tested? Did you get these symptoms during your two week wait or later on in your pregnancy? Congratulations by the way!! :D xx

Thankyou :-) to be honest we had literally given up trying the month I found out I was pregnant, we had been trying 18months when we decided we wanted a break we planned on going to Egypt in march and I even started doing some intense boxing work outs we was that adamant we hadn't caught, my period was due the weekend but didn't show although I thought it would as I was having usual period cramps and back ache it wasn't till I got to the Wednesday night working that I was still having sharp pains back ache and feeling sick so I bought a test after my shift finished and the line came up before the control line so I'm pretty sure if I'd of tested early it would of been positive. I didn't really track anything that month apart from the weekend I think I conceived I had sooo much ewcm it looked disgusting and oh was like errr lol even after I washed down there it just came back I've never had that much ewcm before but we still didn't think we caught as had been trying for so long xx

with my first I got a bout of diarrhea at 7dpo, just for one day, I didn't feel poorly but assumed it was some sort of bug, i tested when I was 15dpo (af one date late) and was pregnant. since I've thought maybe the diarrhea was a sign but I had no other symptoms

Thank you for your thoughts ladies - I really hope this is a good sign!! My temps are staying high and I've been taking Seven Seas this cycle so I'm hoping they might have helped a little - folic acid, iron and vit D can't do any harm right?! I'm also extremely tired and a little headachey. All positive symptoms I believe but you just never know until AF shows, or doesn't! One thing I do hope is that the Seven Seas won't mess with my cycle at all. I'm pretty regular now (27/28 days) after coming off the pill back in September of last year and having a mammoth 42 day cycle over Jan/Feb 2017 (oh what fun that was!). No more diarrhoea today as yet, or any more overwhelming stabby pains, but I do have some pinches in my left side (although pretty sure I O'd on right side) Hmmmmm........... xx

99% of my pains have been on the left side but scan showed baby is on the left fx this is your month I'll be looking out for you xx

Okay so now I'm thinking (hoping!) that it could be linked to implantation. Currently scouring Google. But I have had no temp dip - temps just keep steadily increasing. Do any of you lovely ladies know if you can have a successful implantation without a temp dip? xx

I'm not sure Hun I've never done my temps or ovulation strips we just dtd every day and every other day in the hope we would catch xx

I learned 3 days ago that I'm pregnant . And the biggest signal for me was the sharp cramp I got a week after ovulation. i also had implantation spotting 2 days after. Hope you are pregnant! let us know

oh btw, frequent urination and nausea came shortly after the cramps, just like yours:)

You don't necessarily have to have a temp dip for implantation, temps must just stay over the cover line. FX :dust:

Thanks all ! Gill85, congratulations on your BFP! Excellent news - had you been trying for long? KatD, temps are all way above the cover-line so that's good. I'm quite certain everything is working properly and we bd'd on CD14 + CD15 (O'd on CD15 according to +OPK and CM and temps have confirmed this). So I am feeling hopeful but trying not too get too excited because we have been here before... I was convinced I was preggers last month, and the month before that. Timing was spot on then too apparently. Only time will tell ! Thank you for all your well wishing and advice - I will keep you all posted! :) xx

Anyone else 9dpo or there about? Argh I need some peeps to share this with! I'm over-excited - I keep checking out 'charts like mine' on FF

 :nopoas:

Back aching now, plus cramps and I'm STARVING so cooking up some yummy pasta and leek in a buttery egg sauce - The ULTIMATE comfort food :D

xx

I'm 6 DPO so I'm a bit behind you :) I'm so sleepy today! Couldn't get out of bed until twenty minutes after my alarm lol and I was in bed at a decent hour last night too! Feeling quite positive this month for some reason, just hope I'm not in for a fall! I have an appointment with my GP this afternoon, OH and I were NTNP for a couple of years and now actively trying from May without even a whiff of a BFP, so I'm slightly concerned. Hoping I will be one of these people who gets there BFP just as they go to start fertility investigations lol Good luck Lish! :)

I'm 6/7 dpo, because I had diarrhea with my last pregnancy I feel like if I was pregnant I'd get it again so I'm probably not. although I've been a bit crampy today and I feel very much like I can't be bothered with anything which isn't like me, this could be a pmt symptom though so who knows. good luck girls

Got everything crossed for you all xx
