I am applying to do a course in child minding and one of the questions I need to answer on my application form is: What activity would a two year old child enjoy? Any suggestions? I'm not really sure as my boy is not even one and don't really know what they can do when they are 2

Thanks!!

most 2 year old can sit down and do things like puzzles or colouring (scribbling) and they are starting to use more sentences so they enjoy some interactive/turntaking games too. their attention span limit is probably 5- 10 minutes MAXIMUM so an activity needs to be quite active.

For some reason 2- 3 year olds LOVE posting games. I keep a carboard box with a slot cut out of it and a picture of a postbox in my clinic and kids will pretty much do anything if they can post a picture afterwards!!

I'd probably add to my answer that each child is unique so you would tailor details to what motivates that child.

Thanks for your help Tiny!! Brilliant answer.

FINGER PAINTING :D
hahahah, my little sister loved it as a toddler!
i must admit, so did i

Sam was 2 at the beginning of March and he loves painting, drawing, playing catch (he throws balls and I catch them...he can't catch unless I tell him to hold his arms out and throw the ball there), making things - anything with stickers, glue, playdoh, cooking (both pretend and real), playing with cars, trains, jigsaws, he loves being chased, hide and seek (but always hides in the same places then shouts 'where's Sam?!'

Thanks, I am soo looking forward to doing all these things with my son :cloud9:
