7 week scan... can they see much?

Hi,

just wanted to see if any of you ladies, had early scans.
A friend of mine is having a scan next week at 7 weeks + 3 days, and I wanted to help her out with what they might and might not be able to see.

you should be able to see the sac and a tiny blob witha heartbeat if your luck
i had one at 9 weeks and it was a large blob with a head shape and the yok sac

Yeah you should be able to see a tiny blob at 7 weeks. Unrecognisable as a baby at that point though on a scan!

we saw a blob in a black circle! could see the heartbeat though, so that was cool
