6 weeks to go and no definite idea of name

So we are having a little girl on 17th Feb, I need a name that will go with my other kids names - Jack and Medeline (Maddie). I want a name that is strong for an adult, but can also be shortened if necessary while she is little.

So far we've got

Everly (Evie)
Emily
Lucie

My husband isn't bothered about any of them which is making me anxious as I really want him to love the name we call our new baby.

He suggested Jessica the other day, that I don't like because of a girl I once knew. But I do like Jess or Jessie, but not as their full first name. Are their any other names that shorten to Jess or Jessie? My brain isn't working too well at the moment!

I vote for lucie! Or Emily - I'm not overly keen on everly but Evie is nice

I think Lucie goes nice with the other names

Yes I'm getting put off a bit by Everly too. Absolutely loved it when I first heard it, but everyone I mention it too kinda look around the room and don't say anything.

Middle name will be Juliana. Was my mums middle name. And think Lucie Juliana ( pronounced like Juliana off E!) go well together.

Oh don't be put off it by other peoples opinions... It's your baby. I don't even want to tell Ty some of the reactions I got when I wanted to call baby Cecelia! If hubby had gone for it this baby would be being Cecelia Rose regardless of what others think

I do think lucie Julianna is lovely though!in fact Julianna is a beautiful name! I've never heard it before

We are the same ! Boys middle name sorted and that's it

Doesn't help having to pick boys and girls !

I love Evie it's cute - not everly though

I'm sure you will both pick what's right- don't rush it x

I love Everly, little different without being weird. Also like Lucy but it's very popular!
Jasinta (not sure on spelling) could be shortened to Jessie.

were going with Lucy we think and i dont really care its popular. there was 4 boys in my brothers class with his name but i couldnt immagine him as anything else. i think its more important to chose a name that suits than a name that is different

I think Everly is now off the list.every one seems to go hmmmm, whe. I mention it. Think Lucie is my current favourite. OH seems to suggest names then move on to another name, which makes me think he's not serious about any of them.

He's now on Jessica or Isobel. Still like Lucie or Emily more than those. Also wondering now about Molly. Baby's was going to have that as possible middle name (husbands grandmas name), but I'm pretty set on my mums middle name now.

My mum used to mind a girl named Molly & she was lovely so always think fondly of that name..
