6 weeks and things have changed :(

Max is 6 weeks old tomorrow and for the las few days he's been whinging, crying generally miserable he keeps feeding on and off
Doesn't seem to know what he wants and I'm getting worried as he doesn't seem full after feeds he's following asleep half way through the feed then wakes up screaming.

He's tired but fights it I don't know what to do I feel I'm not making enough milk for him now he's also having green poos

Anyone else had this at 6 weeks?

I think they have a big spurt at 6 weeks so keep at it and don't worry

Try doing gentle compressions at the end of each feed, really helps drain the breast and gets all that lovely hind milk in to baby x

I had the same problem. got told to stroke her ears or cheeks if i felt she was nodding off too soon. it does eventually pass just hanv on in ghere! X

the green poo is usually due to him getting too much fore milk and not enough hind milk... if necessary strip him down to his nappy when feeding to keep him awake... as spin said try massage your breasts too xx

Jakes going through a similar growth spurt right now. Keep the faith that he's getting enough, keep feeding, he needs to up your supply for future so if you think he's not getting enough and top him up, you won't make enough for him.

As others said, green poos usually relate to lack of hind milk. Make sure you feed from each breast till they're empty - so if he comes off too soon, go back to that breast first next time. Hopefully they'll only be a phase though, jake gets phases of green poo then we're back to normal.

yeah whingey and constant feeding and less napping here too but no green poo, we only get a poo every 3 or so days tho lol
like everyones said green poo is usually either colic due to wind or too much for milk so try and make sure that hes taken a full feed before swapping boobs

This is really interesting pregnot, as for two days roman has been having dark green slimy poos instead of bright yellow ones. Our feeding hasnt changed, he feeds 2-3 hrly in day and 2 hrly at night

He only uses one boob at each feed but doesnt feed for long, he gets very windy so we have to wind and then i cant get him to latch on again, he just stares at it . Hes really not great at latching on compared to my son.

I just cant think how to get more in him

Oh lord the zombie baby stare! We've had that from birth and once we get the stare nothing will get him to feed more. Get it sometimes if I take him off a bad latch, no matter how hungry he is he just stares at the boob with his mouth clamped shut.

We usually get screaming for food half an hour later though. I wish we didn't have to fight him!
