Has anyone else's lo done this? Oscar is five and a half months old and has just started moaning really loudly in His sleep, this sometimes turns unto a little crying type moaning. He doesnt wake but it is really loud! If we settle him (turn on bus side or pop dummy in) then he's quiet again for a short time but then starts again? Is this just a phase? Hope it's a short one!

Could he be teething? My lo is only a month old so no experience, just a thought.

Oliver does that and had for a while now. I just turn him on his side and he settles again xxx

Yep, Lucie did it. I think it lasted a few weeks I'm sure I read it was a development phase x

Austin does it every now & then. Usually when he's not feeling himself

I've just realised, the nights he's wailed are the nights he hasn't had calpol at bed time, I'll give him so e tonight to see if it makes any difference. The houses he makes don't seem to be painful ones though sometimes they sound like little squeals of laughter! And when he wakes he's happy as larry!

Well we've started giving him a shot of calpol again before bed and his wailing has reduced but still there a bit! Hopefully it is a phase and passes soon!

could be dreaming, if you say he sounds almost like he is laughing! my lo does this sometimes, she laughs and cries in her sleep occasionally. My 5 year old shouts 'no' in her sleep! lol

My first lo started doing this at about 6 months and still does it (although now only one in a blue moon) and she's nearly 3. People said it was night terrors but she never really seems particularly upset? It's very peculiar.x

Whatever is was seems to be passing! He had a little moan when he was waking for his bottle at 3.30 then a little moan when waking at 7.15 and that was it all night! Previously he would moan on and off every hour all night for ages! Let's hope it passes and stays away!

Once again I Spoke to soon! He's at it again! Been moaning and flailing about like he's possessed for the last half hour, gave him a bottle (it's only 12.30!) he's still at it! Seems to be going down a bit so hopefully he'll stop soon! Arrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh

I seem to remember my LO went through similar around that age. I can't remember if it coincided with teething but he got his first teeth at five months so could have been.
