I would love a 4D scan but and a little concerned as my normal scan pictures were rubbish. I'm not massively overweight but am carry more than average and was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same trouble but went on to have excellent 4D scans?

Hi Dawn, not sure how many weeks you are but I have always been a comfortable size 16 (now 18 during pregnancy) and also worried about first scans etc, always had to drink plenty in early weeks as more layers to go through than a slimmer lady lol....Once I got to 16wks though this wasnt an issue and scans have always been good....With 4d we've had one done at 24 and 32 weeks (one for family visit and the second for better detail) and they came out ace - it is worth it if you can afford it....

Hi hun, I wouldn't worry too much. Before my first scan I panicked about this a bit, I'm a size 16, but there didn't seem to be any problems with getting a good image.
We had a 3D scan at 27 weeks and was really pleased with the images we got of our little one.

Thanks ladies, I think I'll go for it I'm 30 weeks today so a good baby size now x

Don't know how but all my photos were in black and white? Didn't realise till I left that every photo was printed in black and white thought I'd get the sepia colour like Jen has above. I was gutted on way home.
