4d Scan advice!

I have just popped in from Trimester 2 to seek some advice from all you ladies who have had a 4D scan. I currently have one booked for the end of feb when i will be 27wks 5 days. I just had a thought if this would be the best time to give me the best picture as i'm already over weight. I'm just wondering if due to my size i may get a clearer picture of bubba before or after this time? I might ring the centre where i am going to ask there advice too, but would prefer to get advice from you ladies first.

28 weeks is usually the ideal time to go the bigger they get i think it gets harder to do it cos they don't move around as much and they usually are putting there head down more to get ready. i was told 28 weeks is the best time thats when i went but unfortunately the first time i went he was facing the wrong way and refused to move so went back the following week at 29 weeks and he was the right way but she did say if it didn't work then it would get harder to get good pictures.

You'll be fine hun, I had one at just under 26 weks and all fine.

I had mine at 26 weeks and got some lovely clear pics so im sure it will be fine x

i was a couple of days off 29 weeks when i had mine done and it was brill!
he was developed enough to have some weight on him and not look to skeletal and he was small enough that he could still move around,although he wanted to sleep!
we tried going for another one last week but the placenta is over the top of him so he was using it as a pillow and the pictures would not have been as good as the last time as he had half his face nuzzled in it so she recommended us to stop to save the money,it was nice to see him again though!
