Think we deserve our own thread! LOL

Seeing mw this morning, hopefully I'll have some idea if any of these false labour signs are doing anything! Will update later :) x x

hehe we had same thought at same time, maybe we will go into labour at same time too hehe. good luck at midwife today, I am there tomorrow, and can you believe its hubby's last day of paternity leave on wednesday and still no baby, that consultant has alot to answer for changing her mind about inducing. MY 15 month old tried his hardest yesterday to start me off, first he threw a pint of coke with ice cubes all over me, then he split his head open in my mums back garden, I have not slept most of the night i kept checking on him, so if the shock of those never even gave a me a twitch i cant see much else doing it lol.

How are you feling today?

Oh no! I know wat you mean tho. Is ur son okay?

I half expect the baby not to want to come out with hearing the noise coming from my other 2 seeing as they're off school! My hubby used half his paternity leave with my 2nd child as labour kicked off after a sweep but didn't progress very quickly. That's wat I'm worried about this time if I have a sweep.

Didn't sleep to well last nite either, had insomnia nite b4 that too, but feeling okay. Slightly nervous about mw appointment today tho so it's making me feel more awake than I would do normally! X X

yes he is fine thanks tough as old boots its me and the rest of us that were there at the time that weren't very good, my god do heads bleed.
hope your appointment goes well today and baby decided it may be fun to join in with other kids instead of hiding away from them hehe

Awwww must have given you all a fright!!

Had sweep, another booked for a weeks time, so waiting again now!!......tick tock! But she did say cervis was thin, open a bit (but would be since had children before) but also stretches to 3cm, head is extremely low, so who knows....maybe baby will appear before my appointment next monday!

They'll let me go til 1st May if sweeps dont work - booooo!!!

I'm glad you were given a sweep hun, here's hoping baby will be here before the next one!

wel that sounds positive, my cervix is still 2cm long well it was on thursday so not thin yet, fingers crossed your sweep works for you

Hi, do they not induce you at 4o+ weeks.... seems a long time to be carrying.. xx

They give you a sweep at 40, another at 41, then make an appointment to 'discuss' induction at 40+10, with a view to delivering you before 40+14. I will have my 2nd sweep on wed, and then discuss induction on sat. Im hoping the bank hol weekend may mean they might induce sooner rather than later but who knows x

At my hospital apparrently it makes no difference, so 1st may it would be for me :( sucks!!

Had a sleep, now making some lunch. Got cramps but not really surprising after a sweep. Going for a walk in a bit with the kids to see what happens, but not really expecting much to happen until this evening if at all as that seems to be when it all starts for me (false alarms that is!)

Fingers crossed it's worked! After mine I got cramps after about 40 mins, which were every 15 mins (ish) for about 3 hours. Nothing since though, and I'd had nothing before either. Yours might stand more chance of working as you've been having the false alarms xx

got contractions every 8-10 mins at the moment, not too bad pain wise & about 1min 20 in length, but again, nothing out of the ordinary for me given the past few weeks...

I really dont think it will be, going to go for a walk now and see what happens!

dont forget one foot on pavement and one on road, you may look silly bt rememebr midwife saying years ago it works.

Im gonna drag OH for a walk when he gets home from work! I keep bribing him with walks 'to the pub' letting him have one peroni then dragging him off again!

LOL not heard of that one....just got back, so will have to try that one later!

No change.....infact think the BH have stopped! :wall2:

I'm fine thanks, i have a sweep at 11.30 but we are to keep our fingers crossed that nothing happens till after 7pm because i have to go and pick up our new car this afternoon hehe its an 8 seater and it looks a bit like the a team van but in white hehe.
