39 + 2 midwife appt....hmmm

Had midwife today, and the only concern was since my last appointment my bump hasnt even changed a milimetre in size, its exactly the same, 35cms.
She said I have to feel movement or i need to go somewhere straight away.
The only reason shes not concerned she said is because of how engaged she is, she said shes so low down, and that could be why my bump is small. so we will see!
Apart from that, everything all good, heartbeat ok, good position, and booked in for a sweep a week today!! eek! by then i will be overdue though lol x

As lon as you feel movement then I'm sure it's fine. Ithink the whole measurement hing is a load of crap...it's shown time and time again that the measurements haven't meant a thing. It's all on babes position and what not.x

My bump didn't move from 33cms at all after 35 weeks and I had a 7lb 10oz baby lol I'm sure everything fine xxx

thanks guys, i guess im not so concerned about the size its just the lack of growth makes me nervous but like you say meeah its pretty unlikely shes gonna be small! x

I wouldn't worry about that at all. It's great she's engaged and ready to go. Hope you won't need the sweep though

Hope you manage to get there before your sweep ... although I had one Monday and it really wasn't that bad, it just hasn't started anything!

Hmmm me and you our pregnancy sounds so alike because iam not big but iam the right size etc i have my appoiment with the midwife tomoz at 2pm babys head is down where its suppose to be but wasnt engaged was more in the stomach still but i have a feeling her head may be where its suppose to be but will find out tomoz.

My LO came on his due date too!! And my friends waters broke on her due date but Lo went over to the next day lol!!!

Dont worry too much about bump size i was told i was measuring fine and when i went to hospital they thought i said i was nearly 14 wks not 40 wks!!! Then they said i should have had a growth scan and H was 7lb 6oz when he was born!! ALso he was wiggling while i was having contractions so dont be fulled if baby doesnt seem to slow down!!!

At my last midwife appointment, 2 weeks ago, midwife measured my bump for the first time. It was 37cm, is that low/high/normal ??

Also, at the hospital they have on my notes that baby is 4/5 engaged, is that meaning it's getting close or is that just normal for being nearly 37 weeks pregnant?

Yeah that's basically what the midwife reckons. I just hope everythings ok, I'm not a worrier but it can be worrying when it doesn't change in 2 weeks. I'm sure everything is ok. X
