37+2 and sweep

Hi ladies iv got a consultant appointment on Thursday and due to my severe PGP, borderline pre-eclampsia my consultant is wanting to begin trying to set me off so she's booked me to see her Thursday when I'll be 37+2 and she's planning on doing a stretch and sweep and then booking my induction day hopefully for that following week... my question is has anyone had a sweep at this stage and it be successful? Xx

No help i had one at 39+5 and it failed then a second that worked at 40+5 (had her at 40+6) xx

No, I've had sweeps attempted at 38+1 and 38+4 - they couldn't get in at all at 38+1 and could only get in partway at 38+4 so just be aware if your cervix is closed they won't be able to do it. Fx for you though xx

Yeah my first sweep was 37/38 weeks and it didn't put me into labour but I dilated more myself naturally and a few days later started with slow early labour. But didn't end up beating induction but it defo made things easier and quicker xx

Have sex after your sweep lol tmi but I did and then lost all of my plug and next day had a bloody show xx

lol I've already told my OH that he needs to get me some pineapple order a curry and then give me a good seeing too lol hopefully this will all help xx
