I forget what happens at the 30 week hospital appointment, does anyone know? I got bloods, urine etc done 2 weeks ago so it can't be that. Would it really just be for a scan?

I need to know these things so I can prepare myself lol

do you mean midwifes appointment or actual hospital appointment?

As far as im aware, you dont have anymore scans after your 20 weeks one unless they need to (I.E - To make sure your placenta has moved to a suitable position if it was previously lying low, or if they need to check the baby for anything)

maybe ring your midwife and double check?

xx

Its at the actual hospital. They always seem to do a quick scan with every blood check etc just to update measurments and I know I'll have another one at 35 weeks to estimate the birth weight. I haven't had any problems with anything, its all going well. The lady on the reception didn't seem to know :shakehead:

oh right, thats new to me... maybe its because we live in different areas? I was only offered a 12 week scan (dating scan) and the 20 week scan (check up scan) and no more after that unless absolutely needed (which i havent so far)

im not sure then hun as to why you might need to go at 30 weeks.. maybe just another general checkup prehaps?

It must be, thanks. Bit annoying having to arrange childcare for Monday and drive for 30mins, and queue another 15mins for parking lol

I had extra scans at 28 weeks and will have 1 at 36 weeks aswel. At my mast appt they just did bp,urine spec and a quick chat about my scan. Was only in about 5 mins after an hour wait lol xx

At mine i just had the usual bump measurement and urine test, was told to book a hospital tour which i havent done yet lol and to start thinking about a birth plan x

Hi PP!

My only routene hosp appointment was at 23 weeks, to introduce the consultant who would deliver baby, get section date and they dikd a real quick portable scan to check correct fluid levels only. Bloods, wee taken etc.
I had one at 28 weeks to check size of baby , refered by local midwife, all fine, and I have another next wednesday at 34 weeks routene again, bloods, wee again, hope they measure my bump just fokr my peace of mind as have not had any check ups since then, feels like weeks.

I knokw what you mean about the travel, kid care and time, my parking ticket fokr 2 hours ran out last time, and I was really worried about it, I nearly went home before my slot after scan. car was ok tho in the end. £3 a ticket is bad tho.

JJ tell me about it! at my 20 week scan i went over my ticket time by 3 whole minutes, even saw the man writing my ticket, i shouted after him and he still gave it to me! £50!! was sooo angry! x
