2nd attempt at Diabetes Test - 2nd Disaster!!!

Well I accidentally sipped some juice on Monday morning because my mum was helping make my son's pack up & couldn't taste his juice, as she'd just brushed her teeth & passed it for me to taste. I told the hospital at the test & they sent me home. This morning after having nothing since 8pm last night I went in for my test. I did the finger prick test & was fine (that was the bit I was dreading the most). I then had bloods from my arm done & while the nurse labelled all the bottles etc up & was talking to me & my mum, I started to come over all hot & sickly & started seeing white dots. I remember the nurse turning around & quickly removing my scarf from my neck & that's it! Minutes later I wake up with a fan turned on facing me, feet in the air & people dabbing my neck, face & chest with cold wet paper towels!!!!
I was soooo embarrassed & I've never fainted giving bloods before. I still feel really drained & tired. But I'm ok.
All fun & games eh? Just hope I'm not diabetic after all this

Blinkin heck sunny b, u have had a nightmare with these tests haven't u! U poor thing, at least u was in the right place for it. Must have been scary. I've never fainted in my life but have had a few close calls since being pregnant and they were bad enough! Hope your feeling better soon and the results come back all clear xxxx

Fainting is embarrassing whenever it happens in public but at least you were in the right place eh

Oh no Hope you are okay, such a horrible feeling when you are about to faint.. Hopefully the tests come back crystal clear x

I did manage to complete the test. It's double whammy today though, as I'm going to the dentist this afternoon with my little boy - so I'd better be brave!!! I just feel so tired & I've got some ironing to do when I get home & hubby's birthday tea to prepare & cook & packing because me & hubby are going away for 2 nights without Joseph tomorrow - if weather stays like this it'll be lush.

Oh Sunny that's awful....it'll have been the fasting rather than the blood that made you keel over! I remember being at the bus stop to go back to work after mine and I have never felt so faint in my life!! I came over so funny I had to almost sit on this old lady's lap at the bus stop just so I could sit down! Thankfully I had some food with me so ate it but it took about an hour for me to feel back to normal! Hope you're ok now xx

Aww Sunny that's awful I hope ur ok now? You'll be able to forget it all & have a nice couple of nights away with OH now though something to look forward too
I've got mine Friday & crapping it now after seeing what you've had to go through I HATE the pinprick test too it wrecks! I didn't even know they did that?!!!x
