Hi girls as my title says. I'm 29 and been ttc 1st baby for 18 months. Just starting some tests now as been to see my gp. So far had all blood tests done and have come back normal. Hubby is handing in sample tomorrow to get tested. So that's where I'm at so far. Would love to hear from anyone in a similar position. Getting sick of hearing of everyone elses pregnancy news. So far this week there have been 2 new announcements which never gets easier :)

Hello!
I have high hopes for you :). I too was in your position. We where ttc an getting nowhere. I went for my 21 day blood tests scans etc and oh had to hand in sample and also have his happy sacks fondled (LOL).
Turned out I didnt ovulate,it came back at 14,it needs to be 30 or above to have a confirmed ovulation but I had a good egg reserve, pretty pointless if my body wont release the things huh? And my OH has a low sperm count of less than 5mil and mobility of 20%, so results wherent great :(. Infertility doctor was more concerned on getting me to ovulate and explained that yes oH sample was low but only takes one 2 make a baby, so he started taking supplements like zinc etc, loose boxers, no laptop on his lap, no tight trousers that sort of stuff and I was prescribed clomid after 16months of heartache. The month we where due to start clomid I had health issues and was admitted to hospital with gastro flu,I had lost my job(I was thankful of this as I hated it,so felt a sense of relief if im honest), and felt more relaxed regarding ttc due to finally getting somewhere with the clomid. So our doc advised for me to recover from the gastro flu and start clomid the following month when my period started. I was tested for pregnancy while in hosp due to sickness but I had started my period whilst admitted so knew I wasnt but still they wanted to check as knew our circumstances.
Anyway. I basically recovered from the flu, relaxed a bit more regarding ttc thinking positively about the following month with starting clomid etc and decided to go out and have a well deserved drink with my friends.
My period never arrived when it was meant too so I done a test as I was desperate to start clomid, after 16month I was looking at my BFP!!! We couldnt believe we where pregnant but pregnant naturally despite me not ovulating and my OHs low count :)

We now have a very special 2 and a half yr old daughter who runs rings round us.
But it gets better :). We decided cos it took so long to conceive our daughter we would not try and not prevent another pregnancy, if it happens again then brilliant but if hadnt happened by time she was 3 then we would get help and ask for clomid but not really worry about it till she was 3, but also had the understanding that we have our daughter and I have my son from previous relationship, so we are already blessed so if it wasn't to happen again then we have more than some and are ever thankful of what we have and arent greedy, but felt complete heartache each month with every period when trying our daughter..

Anyways, over xmas we got a bit frisky not thinking much of it. And on 4th of January I got an unexpected positive pregnancy test and im now 24weeks with another little boy...
I still going by tests dont ovulate and my OH still has a low count. Another miracle.

If youve managed to read this much im glad. I had to tell me story cos it CAN happen and WILL happen. Im proof of that huni. I know it's easy for me and other ladies to say not to stress etc but I really do believe we got our daughter cos the weight was lifted off my shoulders and now pregnant with my son cos we wherent stressing over timings of when to do the deed etc.

I hope this has given you some positive thoughts. I hope to hear of your big fat positive test soon.
If you want to ask anything feel free to PM me,happy to help.
Good luck with getting your OHs results, remember if its low, it can still work for you guys. Muchos love xx

Hey hunni. I'm 25 and hubby and I have been ttc for 18 months also. Found out in march that hubbys count is too low for us to conceive naturally and will likely need ivf for our best chance at conceiving. Right now hubby has been referred to urology and awaiting first appointment also waiting on appointment with fertility specialists xx

Hi ema-lou and nicky. It's great to hear your stories, yeah defo trying to relax and not stress about the whole thing and hubby always says don't worry it'll be us soon. I hope he's right ha ha. I'll keep updating when his results are back. Does anyone know how long you have to wait until you get results?

Hubby had to hand in two samples a few weeks apart and we heard word back after less than a week. Best of luck hun xx

Yeah id say less than a week here too. I really hope the results come back fine. Keep us posted x

Well hubby got a phone call today saying his doc is going to ring him tom morning to discuss his test. That doesn't sound like good news to me. Think he's feeling quite nervous about it cos they didn't say anything on the phone apart from he'll get a phone call tom. I hope everything is okay :/

Try keep positive hun. For my hubbys results they asked him to go in n speak to the gp directly. Fingers crossed it's good news for u xx

Not bad news but not great. Normally an average morpholigy percentage is 15 but he has 10%. Still good sperm count and mobility just a bit lower than average. Gotta redo in 3 months :/
