had 40 week appt, mw couldn't do sweep as cervix is too thick :'( looks like induction can't b avoided, babys head is only 3/5 engaged..good or bad? oh I feel so poop!!

things could still change before induction, i've heard quite a few people say recently that they had no signs then it just happened! try not to stress over it too much though! big x

You still have 2 weeks before they will induce you - loads of time for it all to kick off naturally!

I'm running low on patience now.. have an appt at hospital on 3rd Aug, hopefully that will b it, I've heard a few say they had no signs too.. I'm hoping I get lucky xx

Have you tried rasberry leaf tea chick? I drank that religiously with my first and when i had my sweep my cervix was commented on the it was nice and soft blah blah, but i was examined the other week when i was having pains and the midwife said the cervix was long and thick and no where near favorable! I've been struggling with the tea this time because it makes me feel really sick for some reason. Is this your first? I think its common for babys not to fully engage until labour, I think 3/5's is a good sign though. Try not to worry and induction should be a little way off yet xx

AW I'm sorry, you never know though, things might start to happen on their own. Apparently eating pineapple is spoosed to help prepare the cervix too x

I must drink about 3 cups a day, have been since 35weeks, no luck tho :'(
I'm going to go for a walk later.. can't believe I've gone overdue.. always thought il b early lol

Don't be too disheartened hun! I have my 40week appt tomorrow too and I'm expecting them to say that baby still isn't engaged Hoping to get a sweep too though.

How long will they let you go over before inducing? They'll let me go 2 weeks, but I don't really want to wait that long as my original due date was Saturday gone (before the scans measured 3 days smaller) and my baby is now measuring rather large

Fingers crossed we'll both get some baby action soon! xxx

I'm not sure but they've booked me in for an appt with a doc on 3rd Aug, maybe to see options, I don't wana go further than next week Friday.. I was surprised to hear bubs has kind of engaged this morning, I thought he went back to being breech coz of movements I was feeling.. my bubs is like his dad stubborn n lazy lol

3/5ths engaged is really good - when you get to 2/5ths you are actually in established labour. Start taking raspberry leaf tablets - I have been taking them since week 34 and my cervix was favourable at 36 weeks.

Omg really? I didnt know that, thought I still had a way to go!
