Claire I honestly do know how frustrating and upsetting this is Cant answer your question as I didnt have a D&C but I wonder if it is worth talking to your doctor about doing a couple of beta tests to see what your levels are and how quickly they are dropping.

I suppose there is no chance you could be pregnant again?

i think i was told by doctor 2 weeks normally.

maybe a trip to doctor is needed x

I didnt have a d&c when i lost mine but i had positive tests until next period came i think you can get positive tests for up to 6 weeks x

Give it until after your period hon, it will come down

If you are still getting positive tests in a week or so go back to the docs. I was still getting positive tests and it turned out not all the tissue had been fully removed and I had to get it done again

I agree with fothers.... go back to the docs. I was having +ve HCG tests for weeks after my D&C and eventually passed my placenta 15 weeks later!!! they can miss something.

thanks everyone
just thought i would update this, i am still getting positives from internet tests and clear blue digital.

i called the epu today after getting no where with my dr (but thats another story) anyway she was surprised that i was still getting positives so i went in for a blood teast today and will have the results tomorrow.

just thought i would update this, af came today in full flow, i even got a positive last night, so i am sure there must have been retained tissue from my m/c as sorry for tmi my af is very heavy with lots of clots.

i am just glad this nightmare is over and wanted to update it here incase anyone else goes through something similar, 5 weeks of bfp after m/c can happen

So glad it has come so you can finally press forward, test again after your AF completes and it should be gone...
