1st period after pregnancy

after i gave birth i had heavy bleeding for first 24 hours then after that my blood loss was quite minimal on and off and quite a lot of blood stained discharge this went on for about 3 weeks then i had nothing for a few days then last saturday i woke up and had flooded everywhere its now day 6 and im still bleeding really heavy and getting quite a lot of af cramping. before i got pregnant my afs were only about 4 days long and quite light and only af cramping on day 1
what i need to know is this definately my first period? and if so is this normal after giving birth? my first son is nearly 13 and i cant remember what i was like after having him xxx

i'm not going to be much help really, but this does sound quite quick to have your AF, when i had my daughter i didn't have AF for a good 6 wks.
just the blood still from the birth.

but who can say whats normal? if you are worried i would visit GP just for peace of mind if anything.

with Dior i had my period 6-7 weeks after. harley is 4weeks and i am still bleeding abit from birth still well not alot were i need a pad but every time i wipe after the loo its very pinky
