Hello, I’m new here!
Me and my OH have been TTC for 18 months officially but came off contraception 3 years ago.
Back ground I had my first child young 17 and after having him I went into the depo injection I was on this for 5 years then me and OH were thinking about trying but knew the depo took a while to get out of your system so I came off it with no intention really of getting pregnant straight away. It took 12 months for my periods to come back and a further 3 months for them to become regular. 18+ months later and still nothin I don’t know how some of you woman have done it for longer as I’m constantly down, upset, angry and feel like a failure also of recent I have felt really jealous when anyone I know has called pregnant and feel I’m forcing myself to be happy for them.
Can anyone help with these feelings or advice on not conceiving. We are awaiting our referral letter for the fertility clinic. I have blood tests on Thursday and partner had his last week and came back normal.
Stressing doesn’t help when TTC but so hard not to.
Xx

I’m sorry you’re going through this, it is really difficult when you’ve been ttc for a long time and I certainly do get down about it.

I hope the clinic are able to find some answers for you.

In the meantime, be kind to yourself, I read once that blaming yourself for not being able to get pregnant is like blaming yourself for needing glasses, it’s ridiculous and completely out of your control. X

This isn’t really advice but I just wanted to say that I felt my worst at 18 months in! Now I’m at the point of 2 and a half years ttc, I handle it so much better than I did at a year and a half of trying! I think at 18 months for me the panic set in and the only way I dealt with it was to just go along with those feelings. If you need to cry or scream into a pillow just do it! Just know that it does get easier...don’t get me wrong I still have my down days, but it’s nowhere near as bad and as often as it used to be! And hopefully, it won’t need to get easier and you’ll get your bfp soon! Waiting for all the test results is stressful so hopefully you’ll start to feel a bit better when the results come back. Best of luck x

I am sorry you are going through this. Nowadays docs have very good knowledge about reasons why a woman cannot conceive. I am sure they will find the best treatment for you and help you to complete your dreams. Good luck
