Do I need to go hospital please reply!!!!!!!!!!!

You know best how your feeling hun so if you think you don't need to see anyone then it's up to you. But in my opinion it is def worth at least calling your midwife, who may want to come out and see you just to check your bp and put your mind at ease on that issue. Also, you need to keep an...

Do I need to go hospital please reply!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like you are really poorly hun, but it is prob not baby-related. My main concern would be your temperature as a fever will affect the baby. Also the stars in your eyes and the swelling could be a sign of high blood pressure, which may just have crept up since your midwife appointment...

MIK Has been taken into hospital UPDATE 2 1st post

Poor thing, that sounds painful. Hope it won't affect things too much with the baby. Will she get home before her induction? Hope she gets some good pain relief and lots of rest anyway

    Spicy food?

Think it's just a bit of an old wives tale from my experience. It's never worked for me or anyone I know. Most of the remedies recommended to bring on labour only tend to be effective if your body is actually ready to go. There's generally no forcing it, no matter how much we'd...

~*NEW*~ 37weeks + Labour signs, advise and hugs thread

Hi all  . Thought I'd come in here now even though I've not really had any signs of labour starting yet. I'm generally uncomfortable but no clear indicators yet. Baby was 2/5 palpable at the midwife last week but was 3/5 this week. I had walked round town for 2.5 hours before last week's...

    i am in hospital

Oh poor you. That's rubbish news about the placenta. You really are in the best place if anything starts to go wrong but I can't imagine how hard it must be to be away from the boys and doing nothing. Hope you have lots to keep you busy. At least you can try to get some proper rest now. Are...

    OMG 1 week to go!

I am kinda feeling the same Mik. Don't think it gets any less mindblowing whether it's your 1st or 4th baby. Although my youngest is only 17 months so I'm still kind of in 'baby mode', I am finding it very hard to get my head round having a new baby in the next couple of weeks. I just can't...

    "Show"

I've never noticed having a show, and this is my 4th baby  Dunno if I've just never had one till labour or if I'm just very unobservant but I know it is different for everyone. The general advice is that you tend to go into labour up to a week after a show, but as you will see on here...

    I may be induced

Had my consultant appointment today - well, actually saw the registrar who was okay. My background is that I have previously had 2 big babies, 9lb 5oz and 10lb. My youngest had complications during labour because although her head was born normally, her shoulders were actually broader and she...
