I thought this would be a nice topic to just pop down the most recent changes that have come about as our babies get older :D Then we can share and also reflect back (if you like) on some of the more noticable changes in their development and how it affects the family

Well this week has held a lot of changes for Farooq :rotfl: (2months old)
He's gone on to size 2 bottle teats AND size 2 nappies :cheer: (admittedly I think this should have maybe been done about a week ago lol but I was surprised he'd grown so much!). He's also now started taking 6oz a feed
He's had to be moved up to 12lb and 14lb clothing so I now have 2 carrier bags full of clothes that don't fit  and he's offically outgrown his moses baskets because he's always hitting his arms on the sides and can get from the bottom to the top in about 2-3 pushes....so I'm always finding him with his neck crammed up at an angle at the top!!! lol so I've just order some sheets and a mobile for his cot and as soon as they arrive he will be moved into the nursery

Ollie (1 month and 2 days) is much more alert now and can swipe hanging toys. He has now gone to 5oz bottles twice a day. He is also now sleeping in his cotbed (in our room) which i am so pleased about as i was getting annoyed with keep having to carry the moses basket and stand up and down the stairs.

What a good thread,

Well this week Ryan has FINALLY started standing on his feet for a few seconds at a time (he's never stood on his feet before,, EVER!) He also cut his first tooth last week :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: but still not crawling :( hopefully he will be before his first birthday!! but i doubt it lol

Littlepip kyran didnt start crawling on all fours until he was nearly 11months so dont worry

In the last week Kyran has learnt to copy the noises (in his own little way) of a sheep, duck and pig from his favourite noise book. he's learnt to say ta-ta mummy/nanny/dada when hes leaving the room, Give kisses when we ask, well, we call them snogs as he goes in for the kill with his mouth wide open  and finally we're cruising at last on absolutely anything he can possibly use to pull himself up! and hes like a flippin loony hairing round with his v-tech walker now! lol does anyone else find that they fall over constantly coz they try and walk and stretch over to play with the buttons on the front at the same time

Well Becky's not crawling and not even trying to anymore but is pulling herself up on everything. She has FINALLY gone back to sitting after going on a 4 week "I want to stand all the time" strike. Oh, and she now dances to music and on command ("are you going to dance?") by wiggling her bum and head :rotfl:

green bean has finally decided to sit up! He has discovered that he can get across the room quicker by rolling in one direction rather than rolling from one side to the other :-D

Flos decided this past week or so that standing ups the new big thing and squels if you dont let her stand on her two legs, and loves nothing better than supporting herself whilst we hold her hands and she surverys the room from all of a foot or so high, although it scares me to death !

She can taje her dummy otu hold it, waves it around and put it back in without trying to insert it into her cheek like she used to. Can also rattle things and throw them ! Grab things and pull them ( namely my hair ! ) and copy the arm flingy movement iv been sporting on the wii !

She sits in her bumbo and looks adorable, grabs my hands while i try to type and nurse at the same time and feeds like its going out of fashion....... thats me girl :D

Ella finally managed to crawl a couple of weeks ago and this week has learnt to crawl on the wooden floors downstairs. We have learnt how to babyproof! :rotfl: She is also crawling to things and trying to pull herself up.

She can clap and wave, although the waving is right handed only and she only really wiggles her fingers and she says hiya when she sees someone.

She is drinking from an open cup (with a drop of water in it) and giving herself her bottle.

Magicmarkers - I am so impressed that Flo can do her dummy, Ella was about 6 months before she mastered that!

lol thanks, we were sure it was a fluke ! But then i wetwiped her feet later on and she did it again hooked it out, squeals put it back  :rotfl:

Bet the crawlings exciting, just in time for pulling herself up via the christmas tree decs im thinking lol

Yay the babies
Sam started crawling 4 days ago and does an impression of a dung beetle when he gets to what he wants :rotfl:
Also his first peggy weg came through 6 days ago, its been a busy week!

Logan is 5 months, 1 week and 4 days (or 23 weeks and three days if you prefer).

Last night for the first time he rolled from tummy to back during nudey rudey time, he's been getting close for a week or so, but finally did it.

Other recent milestones have been pushing his chest off the floor with his arms during tummy time, and stomach crawling.
We have also introduced two pureed meals a day.

Things i wish i hadn't taught him: how to blow raspberrys, he likes to do them when food is heading for his mouth and i get orange spots all over my glasses lenses.

How did he start crawling? Ryans only just started putting pressure on his feet so im trying to encourage that so he will hopefully get stronger, but he just sits there and doesn't look like he1s anywhere near even thinking about crawling! and puling himself up on furniture?? ill be suprised if he's doing that before he's 14 months!!! lol

My Alex started bum shuffling at 10 months, pulled himself to stand at 15 months, started crawling a little bit at 15 months (but he doesn't do it much, he far prefers bum shuffling), and only now at 16 months has he started to stand alone (only for about 30 seconds at a time so far.)

Ryan may not crawl at all. Some babies don't. Don't worry about it he'll get about in his own way :)

I just get so jealous when other babies are doing so much, i wanna be able to take him to indoor playgrounds and stuff and him be able to move around!

Well I put all the recent drooling and whinging down to a cold but we actually have our first tooth bud :cheer:
Here's hoping it pops out the gum sooner rather than later :wall:

kyran was exactly the same, he'd be happy to sit and play and not move anywhere. He was happy sitting then at the end of 9months he realised he could roll to where he wanted to go then soon realised he could drag himself along on his belly. He commando crawled for ages. i really never thought he start properly crawling. He then learnt to sit from being on his belly by going on all fours and going backward until he just sort of sat! i think it clicked that he could do the same thing going forwards then! He didnt do anything new for months then he started doing loads within a week.

He would never stand on his feet either, thats been a recent thing to, now i have trouble sitting him down! he can pull himself up on the sofa just about but he hasnt worked out how to get back down yet!

Esme (12 weeks) has learnt to pop her dummy out and cry when you are watching her for extra attention.

She has also found that she can moan and if she moves her mouth different moans come out which makes moaning in general very fashionable in my house now

She has fallen in love with her big bro and shouts to get his attention

She likes the new flashy toys suddenly all around her and loves mummys BF beads.

She has found my boobys and looks at them rather than my face now  , when they come out she starts to laugh (well as close as a laugh as she can muster)

She has also had her first taste of FF and started pooing less often

aww flo eyes up me boobs dather than my face now too! thank god its not just me haha
bless lila esme shouting her bro ! Clever lila lady

I have told her it is indecent to ogle but she doesnt listen

Big Bro loooves it that she loves him so much, I can put her in his room whilst I have a shower and she sits in her chair just staring at him.... wonder how long the love affair will last before they are ripping each other to bits

Angel's now picked some speed up on her weird form of crawling!
She's learnt where the off-switch is on OH's PC!
She's pulling herself up! Just needs to learn that letting go can hurt!
She blows in our faces!
She has also this week learnt how to sit from laying down.
And just yesterday started waving! She now waves constantly!
