Worried

Ok so I had the NT plus scan last week, I thought all had gone well as when having my blood took, the lady said the measurements was fine, I was so relieved & pleased....Today I got a letter, the hospital need to see me regarding the results, could I call them to make an appointment asap....for the past few days an unknow number has been calling me on my landline & mobile, but I kept ignoring it, thinking it was cold callers....it was the hospital, I have to go and see them tomorrow!! I cant stop crying! I'm so scared of what they are going to say!!
Has anyone else had this happen?? X x x

Im sorry to hear this babe, ive not had this happen to me.. didnt they say what it was about on the phone? You must be going out of your mind cant you call them and say you need to know what its about as its stressing you out.. you have a right to know! i hope everything is okay

Thank you, I took your advice & the receptionist cant tell me anything, she is going to get a midwife to call me back

try not to worry, its not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe just something they have to double check something. Hopefully the midwife gets back to you soon, good luck xxx

try not to worry maybe they need to re do your blood. what ever the outcome they want to see you for your and babys best interests

Thank you ladies. My appointment is @ 12 tomorrow. A midwife called me back, I have 1:140 odds of the baby being downs syndrome or similar, we have got to go in tomorrow to discuss our options & talk about the test available to us. Right now my head feels like its going to split open, I think i'm still in shock, I thought cos the measurements was fine, its was all ok x x

She said its not really high, but not as low as they would like it to be yeah she said we will be offered the test & talk about the percentage and so on

Been thinking about you all day, not been able to get to the comp til now..

Im glad they eventually called you back, i still cant believe they didnt tell you in the first phone call it must have been awful

at least you know now and can be prepared tomorrow with all the questions you have.. whereas on the spot with that news im sure your mind would be blank..

Like the mw said its not high but not as low as they would like.. try not to get too worried its still a good result, just one they will offer you additional tests with.. im sure everything will be fine try not to stress too much, i know it must be so hard not to
You know we are here for you, i know there are some people on here who have had the additional testing done.. maybe they can give you some advice?
