Words you always mis-pronounce

Tee hee! Loving this!

Just remembered some more from my mother...

Onion is pronounces "Ungion"

and it took her FOREVER to pronounce Asda correctly. She was always calling it "Ozdas" when she first moved here (from the US)!

Can't think of any I do but OH has a few...

Freeview box - Preview Box

Dressing gown - Dressing down

Debenhams - Debedams He has me laughing every time we go shopping with this one, he can't say it at all!! :rotfl:

Spaghetti - Pesgetti

i say wheetibix and instead of weetabix. I got so used to saying it the other way it wasnt till we were in the supermarket one day I realised that it wasnt wheetibix.

DUH :wall:

Oh yeah, that reminds me... OH calls a single weetabix a 'weetabic'.

We always have debates about whether it's right or not :rotfl:

what would you call 2 then. Im confused. I would call them weetabix wether there 1 or more. :rotfl:

Well obviously more than 1 would be weetabix cos the 'X' on the end sounds like 'S' which you use if there's more than one of something...

However, I would still call a single one a weetabix but OH says I'm wrong

I don't myself i'm far too perfect :rotfl:

But OH says Dressing Down instead of Dressing Gown which irritates the hell out of me.
George can't say Vanilla he pronounces it Vlanilla.
My Nanna bless her used to call Dolmio - Dolmino
