sarah just do what you and braydon find nicest.
so long as he goes to sleep happy and contented little boy what the fook does it matter how ???

Does he go to sleep happy? do you feel happy doingas you are doing? do you think what you are doing is distressing him or what?

Tell your mum to mind her own business -

sarah talk to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

sorry didnt realise neone had replied lol
yeah he seems happy i put him down with a bottle and sit by his door till he asleep

and are you happy with that?

why is your mum not happy with it?

maybe suggest to your mum that she take over the night time routine then if shes not happy! then you could maybe go out for a laugh with mates!

coz she sed that he should be going down without a bottle but he has always had it and i feel mean taking it away from him

Do what you feel's right hun, he's your son. With jamie he has a bath, a bottle sitting on my lap, brush his teeth, give him a cuddle, a kiss then pop him into bed (in his grobag) say goodnight & leave. 99% of the time he goes straight to sleep without any fuss.

Sarah, if it works for you and you are both happy then don't change it.
I stay with Emma until she's asleep, we're both happy doing it that way. If he likes his bottle then don't take it away from him, he's still young

as the rest of the girls say do what you feel comfortable, Kacy still goes bed with a bottle and i say goodnight and leave.

I do this for Lydia:

-change her nappy
-put her in her pyjamas
-give her a kiss and a cuddle
-put her in her cot with a full bottle of milk
-say "night night, i love you lydia"
-she replies "night night mama. I love you (I lu lu) mama"
-I leave the room and pull the door behind me

lol - sounds like your having the same probs with your mum over this as I do with my mum over potty training!

Do what you think is right - I find myself just nodding at my mother and saying what she wants to hear, but actually letting it go in one ear and right out of the other!!

Matthews routine has been the same since we had him the only difference now is he doesnt have a bottle but then he only has a cup of milk a day now as he's never been a massive fan of milk. But I give him a bath, get him in his pjs then into a gro bag then get him to help turn out the light and I put him down awake.

Like all the other girls say you do what you like not what someone else says tell your mum if she thinks thats how its done then she is more than welcome to have a go but she has to deal with the crying whilst you go out for a walk!!
