with all that pressure in ur bum wen giving birth....

I pooed with Daniel and I'm proud :shakehead: - I was mortified at the time, but the midwife casually moved it. My mum only knew because I shouted 'I'm having a poo' at the top of my voice (gas and air for you!!)

This post brought back some memories...
My biggest concern as I approached my due date was all about the poo. I was adamant that my husband MUST stay 'head end' just in case and got myself really really flustered about it.
Anyway turns out after seven hours of final stage pushing with my legs up in stirrups I still did not touch cloth haha!! I did ask my husband afterwards as well just in case it happened without me knowing but he said no.... yippee I'm hoping for the same again this time!
Totally sympathise with poo phobia!!

I have warned hubby that this may happen and have threatened him that if he uses it against me I may have to cut his balls off!

If I was worried that he would take the piss ontop of being worried about getting this baby out it would be too much!!!!

If I do I do.......... I am not going to stop pushing just in case thats for sure!!!!!!!!

:rotfl: LMAO I told everyone i needed a poo and they told me it was just the baby coming, it really does feel like it tho

what happens at a water birth? will it float to the top? I am slighly concerned about the pooing, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

haha haha haha that just made me LOL!!!

I was happy to poo, i kept sayin to the midwife i needed a poo and she said just push it out then cos it will help the baby come so i did!!! She was very quick to wipe away and my OH didnt even realise but i told him after haha

xxxxx

Yeah i pooed but i didnt care i just wanted him out coz of the pain, i had a real clear out before i went into labour god knows where it all came from. My OH told me i pooed a little bit, but since then hes given me all the details, i pooed tons apparently and it stank so much it stung his eyes PMSL. oh dear, :rotfl:  XkelX

didnt notice any thing. but i did get bad bad piles after uouchhh soooo sore.

the most shocking thing i remember from labour is. you asum you push out your fairy but the midwife told me to push out my bum like a poo  felt so odd i was like "NOOOO IL POOP" she said you wont just do it and who cares if you do"

when i was in labour with my first i pooed, but that may have been because i took laxatives when i was in labour because i thought that the labour pains were costipation (sorry if tmi)

Yep I did! I too was off my face on gas and air (love that stuff) and said to the MW and my mum "I'm going to poo I'm going to poo" and the MW said "No you're not it just feels like you might" and then I pooed! Thankfully the MW cleaned it up really quickly but I was kind of drunk on G & A and I kept apologising and said "I don't normally do that you know" and my Mum then made lots of jokes about having potty trained me well! They both thought it was hilarious so it was ok really. My husband was too queasy to come in with me but I am glad that he didn't see that I have to say. If you're really worried about him seeing that you could always put a note on your birth plan to the affect of "If I poo please try to hide it from my OH" if it makes you feel better but frankly I would imagine that neither of you will be thinking about that at the time!

The midwfie told us that if I was in the water and I pooed she would get it in a net and throw it away!!!!!!!!!!!! :puke:

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had an epidurial so i diddnt know it but i pooed, oh wasnt gonna tell me but he sed yeah when i asked him, i diddnt care and still dont lol

I was really worried about this but actually I didn't do either although I think it is quite common to as you push very much like if you were having a poo.

Thats what i was like!
I kept going to the loo thinking i needed to poo untill someone told me :rotfl: :rotfl:

this thread made me start laughing lol, i didnt do anything with either, but then again i wasnt chronically constipated with either, this time im really badly constipated and got piles so reckon i prob will end up pooing myself, which is awful

:rotfl: some of your replyes made me laugh.

in all seriousness though. this is something ive been worried about too.

i really dont want to poo myself. but i guess if it happens there isnt much i can do about it.

I didnt poo first time, even though it felt like I did and kept asking my mum if I was... kept getting her to have a look down there and check lol

Didnt poo second time, though I thought I was.

If you poo you poo hun. I was so worried about pooing second time round because I new what labour felt like. But when your in labour, you really couldnt careless if you do. All you care about is getting your baby out of you lol
