I taught him how to make toast on Sunday (in the toaster, no way was I risking the grill), and he knows how to open a tin and warm it in the microwave

my dads a really good cook, my mum left when i was 13 and before then my dad didnt have a clue so basically had to teach himself

now he thinks hes the next jamie oliver

We ended up going through 36 rashers before he got it how he liked it Took nearly 2 hours. But he can cook bacon now He called me down late last night to help him with the tin opener - he's run out of ring pull tins.

I thought the granny flat was to make it easier when I was looking after mum - nooooooooo - she was making sure Dad wouldn't be living on a diet of weetabix and cornflakes
