This might be an odd question...
When feeding my LO and we stop mid-bottle (expressed or formula) for winding - he farts a lot lol! Even more when i pat/rub his back to try encourage burp.
So my question.. Arguably both are wind but when winding baby is a fart as good as a burp ? I'm paranoid settling him down to sleep (especially at night) without a burp. But is a fart proof theres no trapped wind ?? Or is that wind too low ? As i rub/pat his back i'm moving the wind up or down, so is a fart as good as a burp ?
Often hes fallen asleep and not even sure he has wind, certainly isnt bothering him anyway - do u mummies continue trying to get some wind up when LO asleep, ie u arent even sure they have trapped wind. Obviously if crying/in distress then they may well do so i'd continue. I dont want to be too paranoid about winding especially if hes not bothered.
Thanks x
