I hope to stay around - have really enjoyed being part of this forum as my friends tend to be in one of two camps - no children or finished having children - so having people to discuss pregnancy with has been great and I am sure with a newborn I will value that too

I have that with my friends. Either not having them or had them years ago. One of my friends has become a grandmother even before I've become a Mum   So I've found this a great place to discuss all the things I would have talked to them about if I had had my children 10 years ago or more.

i will be trying to stay about asmuch as i can as ive made some great friends on here.
also we are going to be ttc in jan all being well so wont be away for along anyways :)
manda xx

I wondered the same thing...maybe it'll be like when you leave a tri. I still look at tri 1 and 2 but not nearly as much as i do at this one cos I need the advice/support that is on here etc and any posts I make you girls are normally experiencing similar things so can give relevant advice. It'll be strange not needing to come on tho, it's like part of my daily routine now, I feel like I have lots of friends here and eagaly wait for news regarding your LO's...I suppose we'll all be on the ask a mum section...
:D

My friends haven't even thought about kids yet so this place is invaluable to me! Here i feel like i fit in! It's hard having friends at uni who study and drink, lol, such different lives! I mean they are supportive of me and they love buying things for baby but they don't have any idea how pregnancy feels or anything so it's sometimes hard.

I think i'll stick around and ask my millions of questions... then who knows maybe when i'm preg next time i can actually be of use to others!

I'm the same with the friends situation...mine aren't interested in babies at all!! They ask me how it's going and are excited for me but I don't think they understand...they are in the frame of mind that having a baby would ruin their figure and cost money...so it's not worth it!!!
So I agree...it's lovely to have people who are going through the same things and understand why a baby booting you in the ribs is cute and why putting on 3 stone is nothing compared to what you'll have at the end of it.
:D :D :D :D :D

aww I'll be here as much as I can :D I have made some lovely friends on here and its kept me sane through these long months!! Will be quite hard at night times as Il have baby on my own but Im sure he'll enjoy the forum too sitting on Mummys lap

I do hope that i will have the time to pop on every now and then, doubt i will have the time to be on as much as i am tho lolo

As a first-timer I'll probably be on asking questions like "Is baby supposed to be doing this...?" or having a moan about sore nipples

Ooh but it will be summer when LO is here so I might manage to get out!!

How do I get baby to sleep?
Is the poo supposed to be this colour?
Should baby be sleeping this long?
Should baby be AWAKE this long?
What is this rash/spots/mark?

My mum actually asked me that last night, she wondered whether people just stopped posting once they'd had their babies (I mention this place a lot!).

I hope i'll still be here as much as ever! I'm not going to be working and OH works some strange hours and as i live with my mum i don't have housework as such, i'll prob just have the odd load of washing to do so i may well have free time!

But then again having LO will be time consuming! I might make a pact with myself to pop in for at least 5 minutes a day... or something. Lol

Same hear James works 12 hours shifts and even if he transfers to Home office they still do 12 hour shift patterns
so when Collers alseep i'll be bored ridgid when James is away working

and i'll still need advice and id miss everyone too
this forum and you guys have been so wonderful and supportive.
and i hope i can help pout others ladies like you have helped me

so i hope not to do disapearing act

I float around the net most days, so I most certainly will keep floating around this forum! :D

Hiya,

It's always difficult at first and I expect to be very very exhausted with a baby, a toddler and a 5 year old, but I will be back for chats and questions etc, and to follow everyone elses' progress.

It will be odd not having a particular 'home' section on here though.
